Pellegrini,s record over the last 3 seasons v top four

2013/2014
Liverpool home won 2-1 away lost 2-3
Chelsea away lost 1-2 lost home 0-1
Arsenal home won 6-3 away drew 1-1

2014/2015
Chelsea home drew 1-1 away drew 1-1
Arsenal away drew 2-2 home lost 0-2
M utd home won 1-0 away lost 2-4

2015/2016
Leicester away drew 0-0 home lost 1-3
Spurs away lost 1-4 home lost 1-2
Arsenal away 1-2 with home game to come

so in 17 games its won 3 drew 5 lost 9, not impressive at all and this year we can go down to almost 8th place without a win anywhere.

Last 24 league games, won 10 drew 6 lost 8 now that is mid table form at best
Away form this season won 3 of first 3 then 2 from 11 scoring only 13 goals in 14 away games, now this is disgraceful

This squad should be top of the pile by a country mile and even with the injuries we should still be out in front, any decent manager would not be presenting stats like these at all.

He should have been replaced short term until the end of the season in January when it become public knowledge what was happening next season, there is no inspiration to the squad from him and even for him to achieve anything

If im being sinister the lower we finish in the league the harder he is making the job for pep next season, finishing 4th means early in for preseason training for an early qualifier for the champions league which will be difficult after the European championships. finishing 3rd gives us another difficult group in the champions league and even maybe finishing 2nd the same.

Until Saturday I still believed we would have won the league due to our squad quality but after Norwich I realise I was dreaming

For me go now before our season is embarrassingly ruined by this man.

We seem to be overloaded with embarrassment on here these days.
Do people really get embarrassed about City?

Just what we need, another thread about Pellegrini being shite.
Well you know what I'm going to flip it on its head and say he's done a fuckin fantastic job getting a trophy out of this pile of shite half arsed team and nearly getting us into the quarters of the chimps league.
How does that fuckin grab you OP??

I'll say it again. Pellers has been sacked so what is the point in going on about his record? Shall we sack him again just for the lols?

He hasn't been sacked though has he. He has chosen not to take up the offer of a one year extension to his contract. I do agree that there is no need for another thread though.

Anyone could 'manage' this squad in beating the bottom half teams.

When you're up against teams with decent players and decent managers tho your manager is more important in getting the result.

We have a crap manager and these stats prove it.

The reality is Pellers lost his way in Jan 2014 when we clawed back Chelsea's lead playing Milner up front, as soon as injuries cleared up and we had attacking options he changed back to the 4-4-2 that cost us before Christmas and the league was gone.......God only knows why 2 up front away from home as he's never found an effective strike partner to work with Sergio which is criminal.....If it wasn't for Pep coming I'm guessing he would have been looking for a new job........if that was not the case thats even more concerning.

I wish Pellers all the best for the future......he seems a gentleman, I for one will look back on his reign and consider the missed opportunities!!

Some of us got wise to him last January, just think how long we've had to wait to see the back of this fraud. nice man, crap manager.

Negredo and sergio were a match made in heaven trouble is we never got him a great strike partner after alf got injured and left,i was a dzeko fan but him and kun together wasn't a great match for me
