Steaua Bucharest AWAY leg - useful info for travelling Blues

and where will i be able to change money on the monday if it is a bank holiday?

thanks in advance
Don't think it'll be a problem to get cash at the machines. I'm also sure that you won't have a problem to find an open exchange office. At most hotels you can also change your money...but definitely you'll be able to change at the airport.

Don't worry mate

is it easy enough to get to dinamo's ground for their game on monday

Yes dead easy - best bet is the metro and you need to get off at Stefan Cel Mare station on the yellow line, as it's right outside Dinamo Stadium. Ticket office is outside the South end of the ground where you leave metro station, just across the road... I'd get a ticket in the main stand which is approx 80 metres LEFT of the ticket office if facing it, and right down the street with hospital on corner, then the entrance to the main stand is approx 20 metres past hospital. It may seem complicated but it's because their ground is surrounded by tall buildings, and I mean surrounded (you'll see what I mean when you get there) but well worth a visit and watching their lively 'ultras' in the north stand to your left in the main one... Top notch seat about 40 lei, so less than a tenner, but people seem to sit anywhere they like in the stands, so just buy the cheapest main stand ticket and try the hot dogs at half time :)

Loads of exchanges on virtually any busy street, just make sure you've ID on you and check your money BEFORE you leave the exchange (kinda obvious but why leave anything to chance)

Failing that I tend to use the cash machines as there are plenty about and a fair exchange rate too, it's not as if anyone will need to be converting 1000's - the beers so cheap :)

Don't use the airport exchanges though, rip off. ICE currency UK has best rates for Romanian lei before you travel, so if you need some for a taxi at airport, maybe get yourself 50 quids worth before you fly?

Oh well it's only 5km from the Old Town where everyone is planning to meet up.

Either get the metro to Piata Muncii nearest metro the ground and have a stroll early doors or at 1.39 lei per km - a taxi return to old town is approx 20 lei including waiting, so about 4 quid.
