Stefan Savic - Hope the boo boys noted that performance

Even though England are full of irritating over-rated fuckers, particularly that lot form the swamp, I'd rather see England do well before some lad that was with us for 12 months,than him perform against the country I am actually from.

I wish the lad no ill; but I doubt he gives a shit about us.
 
He was always going to come good because he has the attributes you can't teach - heart,desire and hunger.

I always rated him,his only 'weakness' while here was his over enthusiasm and willingness to impress,which led to occasional mistakes.

He was never afforded the opportunity of a sustained run in the side and the subsequent chance to settle down and impress,which by all accounts,he is doing in Italy.

I certainly think Right back is his future.
 
I also think that lad who plays in South Korea looked quite good but I don't think he can play for City.

My thoughts exactly.
 
I wish him all the best. He's playing quite well for Fiorentina from the games I've seen, scored a double the other week. Young players need regular football to develop, and he's getting that. The swap has worked out very well for both Nastasic and Savic.

If you think that is hounded out then god forbid we ever do have somebody who is genuinely shite again.
Let's face it, Savic always looked fairly shaky when playing for us. Not for a second saying he didn't deserve longer and a decent chance but he was far from hounded out by boo boys.

2 and a bit years. Savic turned 22 at the start of the year.

Agree with you there, Savic was a walking disaster every time he went on the pitch.

That being said, I'm glad it's working out for him over there. Some players just don't do it in the Premiership, Forlan springs to mind and look at his career since he left.
 
I have only just been made aware his father commited suicide a couple of months before he signed for us.......
At any age,nevermind 19,that would have a profound effect on anyone,and perhaps the reason he might not have been as focused and composed as he could have been?

I would hope we put in a clause/buy back or at least a bloody good sell on because he has quality.

RIP Mr Savic; you have a son to be proud of.
 
I can't remember Savic being booed or heckled once at the ground, we tend to support all of our players at the stadium itself. So unless he read Bluemoon I doubt he ever felt unloved by the fans. But yes, Savic came to England too early, he was not ready for the style of this league and needed to mature somewhere a bit slower and more technical like Italy, which he is doing well at a really good Fiorentina side. Still think we got a great deal though, Nastasic will be priceless in the years to come.
 
In fairness he's been good for Fiorentina, showing his worth there, but the deal we got for Nastasic is a steal IMO. He, and Varane, are going to be the best centre halves for the next decade and a half.
