I have read that due to his booking on Sunday he will miss the next prem league game at Pompey. So how is it that when the ladyboy got sent off in the derby he did not miss a prem league game but a carling cup game 3 days later v Blackburn.
Is this correct does anyone know ? Should he not miss the Forest game instead.?

Straight red maybe? Miss next match automatically?

i think the rule is the suspension comes into effect in the next game after a week has passed since the incident...for some reason

if tranny was suspended for the league cup game and not the league game then something is up...

Is it not possible to appeal against a yellow card? There was NO WAY Ireland deserved a yellow for having another guy run into him!

it was a pretty rash challenge mate...and very easily could have walked for another tackle a minute later...i think he deserved it...and no you cant

You can't appeal yellows and he was lucky not to get one for his lunge in the corner. Not a bad time to get one and a rest should do him good.

You are comparing two different incidents Ronaldo was a red card which means he misses the next game(s) Irelands was a fifth booking which means he misses the game which comes first after 7 days is up.

If we draw against Forest and sky put it on telly a week early he will be okay for Pompey.

They did it with Tranmere v Stanley.

but the same thing happened to Nelson who Sky said misses their FA Cup game next weekend???

They do not play it at the weekend, it is 2 days after ours.

One yellow was for encroachment, the man does not deserve to be banned, however if we have anything, its players to fill his position, Robinho and maybe Johnson.

Ireland will be gutted to lose his untouchable position.
