Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

He's finished in the top 3 in the fans player of the season in each of the last two seasons so I'd suggest it's in your eyes as well. KDB dropped off by a mile towards the end of last season, Raz was as good as or better than anyone else in the squad over the season as a whole. Silva and Aguero missed too many matches to be considered vital, Sané inconsistent, Dinho cost us badly in the CL, Bernardo couldn't nail down a starting spot, Jesus went through a couple of rubbish patches. Sterling did it from matchday 1 to matchday 38.
I agree sane was inconsistent but to suggest Sterling was consistent from 1-38 (assuming I have understood your post correctly), I think even most Sterling fans would acknowledge his inconsistency

Sunday league players wouldn't be in the positions sterling gets in so that is a fucking stupid argument, if he feels he can get better pay elsewhere then good luck to him he won't find a better club to play for thats for sure

I also think people forget how many chances a Sunday league player also fucks up, you know because he is a Sunday league player, we have all done it, I have hit the post from half a yard out trying to bust the net against a former team, 10 mins late put a scissor kicks in the top corner, sweet revenge for me but the point remains the sentence my gran could have scored that is utter bollocks, a pass from a prem player would probably knock the old cow off her feet lol

Im sure City will offer him what he's worth
If he turns it down ........feck him.

How will he get more elsewhere ?

Trust me, I’ve played Sunday League football, I’m not lying, plenty of players would have put away many of the open-nets he’s missed even at lower age football. Same with Navas, world class everywhere on the pitch but more often than not, woeful in front of goal. Sterling’s got better this season in front of goal and if he keeps his head down and converts more of the easy ones then we wouldn’t be having this debate. But until then, he needs to keep his head down, realise how good he has it at City and take what’s on the table.

Navas was world class at trying his heart out, unfortunately when it came to football intelligence and ability he was average at best.

A 50% pay rise? Be realistic Raz. He had an okay world cup; certainly not as bad as the redtops and the sheep that read them would have you believe. But neither did he set the world alight (who did in that England squad?).

He'll sign no doubt.

He's not, nor was he ever, going to be offered less than he's currently on so waiting until after the World Cup was only logical.

If he lit the competition up, he has all the leverage. If not, as was the case, he's simply back to where they'd already have been with discussions.

Same for Sané and Jesus.

Hope Raheem and the club can reach an agreement.

Seems to be a well leaked “nudge” from the club. Hope he signs but my gut feeling is he won’t.

He will have to,cause nobody else will entertain him on those wages after that World Cup saga

Hope he stays but If he doesn't sign then we should sell next summer 2019. Jesus and Sane contracts until 2021 so no rush with either.

I think he was well within his rights to hang on after the world cup and he's well within his rights to make sure he's still a big part of our plans
