Sterling Penalty - Wenger will face no charge for his comments.

Unless the FA come out and say that Arsene Wenger has to appear before them. We as City fans will always see it as the FA has something against us. What's the betting that if Pep comes out and has a pop at Wenger he would be up before them before the final words have come out of his mouth. There is no way that if Arsene said that in any other place of work he would be done for slander so, why aren't the FA doing something about it, and forcing him to make a full and frank apology and also a heavy fine.

City as aclub should force the FA's hand and say unless they do something about Arsene's comment, the club will be suing him for slander. This not only calls into question Raheem but also the club by saying that the club has allowed Raheem to get away with diving

Spot on.

The press need to highlight that not only did he slag off Sterling for diving, he was fuckin wrong, it was a nailed on penalty all day long, Sterling didn't dive, as he didn't when he was shoved into the net for the other nailed on pen we didn't get...!

I wonder what the PFA members are thinking, they pay their union dues, and the chairman of the PFA sits on his arse doing nowt,or is he sat counting his £500,000 a year salary.

Getting into some big daft public/press beef with Wenger and the FA does nobody any good, particularly MCFC and Raheem Sterling.

A dignified silence is all that is required in this instance. There is no public misjustice: Wenger damaged himself and Sterling comes out of it well. MOTD did all the PR work we need without City even having to lift a finger.

True, and you have to remember, the bar has been set. Pep can call Vardy a fantastic diver in the next match..

I think this needs a separate thread, because it's time as City fans that we stand up and back our own up in the media and get Wenger the punishment he deserves for his disgraceful and frankly libellous comments about Raheem Sterling post-match.

Wenger's comments:

"I believe it was no penalty. It was a provoked penalty by Sterling, we know that he dives well, he does that very well".

This is clearly unacceptable. It brings the game into disrepute and makes an accusation that Sterling is a diver and a cheat. This is an outrageous accusation with no basis in evidence.

So Wenger should be forced to retract his comments, have to state that Sterling does not dive and was wrongly denied a penalty first half as well. He should also be punished under FA rules for improper conduct and bringing the game into disrepute. By accusing Sterling of diving, he is also accusing Oliver of making the wrong decision when he clearly didn't and that is questioning the integrity of the referee, so he should be done for that too.

I think with another manager making such a public accusation against our own, which is completely unmerited, we need to fight back and protect him. The club should issue formal and public complaints, and anyone who calls up phone-ins tonight should make a huge deal out of it.

MOTD tonight should be making it the main issue, clearly pointing out Sterling only got 1 of the 2 penalties he should have had, point back to last season to all the stonewall penalties he was wrongly denied and make it clear that Wenger was wrong, that he should be punished and apologise for it.

It's gone too far and to accuse one of ours completely wrongly is unacceptable, and we need to stand up and fight back now. He can't be allowed to make that comment and let it stick, unchallenged.
Is this your fergie moment lol

just sent an e-mail to F.A. asking for an explanation regarding why a French manager Wenger is allowed to slander an English international footballer who represents his country with pride , and yet they do absolutely nothing about it .Apparently it takes 5 days for any reply , they must be very busy people , but i wont hold my breath , the F.A. treat supporters with contempt we are just cannon fodder in their eyes , perhaps the old boys with their public school education and six figure salaries should realise there wouldnt be a game if it wasnt for the suppporters
