Pellegrini era was obviously coming to an end and the after a bright start to his last season, it fell badly away.

Last season we fell apart when teams realised that our defence could be got at. I don't think that will happen this season, although whether we can keep our energy levels high through winter is a doubt. The pressing and energy at Stamford Bridge was magnificent. Can we keep that up week after week when we have big games every 3-4 days?

We have to challenge ourselves every game to perform.

If we are to win the league we need to build up a bit of a lead coming into the crucial pre and post Christmas period. No fewer than 10 games are on the agenda between Nov 25th and January 1st. If we still have our noses in front and don't suffer too many more injuries we can do it. I think we may have a mid season slump but once we stay closely in touch we should have enough down the home straight to clinch it.

Any news on our returning 15 or was it 16 players from the gawdawful - International break. Any injuries ?

I don't really see why, to be honest, he's not played a full 90 in about three weeks. He can do both.

The fact he hasn't played is the reason why i think he'd struggle. 2 games in 3 days for a guy that hasn't played 90 minutes in a year is pushing it

PEP: @aguerosergiokun has had his first training session and he did quite well. Maybe he could be back for tomorrow.

PEP: The transfer window is closed now, we will see if we can add in January, the problem we have is the @benmendy23 injury.

PEP: I am so happy with what we have done of course but still we have a good gap to improve but I am really impressed

PEP: @VincentKompany is still injured, he's much much better but he is still injured. He will let us know when he's ready.
