I was a bit puzzled when they sang our grounds to big for us. I never see the Britannia full, even by today's crowd there wasn't more spares than you get at six finger land.

They might as well sing that to every team in Europe, including RM and Barcelona.

I lived in Stoke when I did my first degree; venturing off the campus felt like taking ones life in ones hands in case of encountering natives. Most of them seemed to have neck tattoos, latent anger issues and no higher aspirations than driving a taxi or a white van.

Both groups comprise mainly of hard working people trying to do the best for their families. To me, that seems like a pretty good thing to aspire to.

Was anyone there on the Friday night, late 90's, when we beat them 1-0, Weikens scored iirc.
The City end was class, packed to the rafters and the Stoke lot were attacking their coppers over to our right. It was a long fucking walk back to the car with our heads down, proper tense atmosphere outside!

Some excellent banter with the Stokies yesterday.

Started to get a bit nasty after the fourth and the police arrived to calm things down. A Stoke fan in a red coat marched from a distance and started talking to a policeman whilst jabbing a finger in our direction. We all started jabbing a finger back at him, childish I know but still very funny at the time.
