We don't normally do this and maybe no one else will but I'll PUT my two pennies worth in...

HART: Was really solid in the first half when we were under pressure from Delap's throws etc. 7

RICHARDS: Looked too relaxed to be back in his "preferred" position I would've stuck him up front for the 2nd half and put Zab at RB 5

KOMPANY: A couple of poor passes early on but solid enough without being really tested 7

ONUOHA: Again did OK early on but had little to do in the 2nd half 6

BRIDGE: Gave us width and looks good going forward but a shaky display defensively 5

WRIGHT-PHILLIPS: didn’t look fully fit and ought to have been sent off for retaliating to Delap 5

DE JONG: Solid but unspectacular, but that's what he there for isn't it? 6

ZABALETA: I would've kept him on ahead of de Jong as better going forward 7

ROBINHO: Poor! Worst performance yet IMO. 5

IRELAND: Again looked off the pace. Is he ill? 6

BELLAMY: Again worked really hard and came closest to scoring. A massive improvement on Vassell. 7

SUBSTITUTES:

ELANO (for Zabaleta 54) – Nearly lost the plot again but did try to create something when he came on. 7

CAICEDO (for De Jong 73) – Not a target man despite his size. Did go at them once or twice but too late and not good enough to make a real difference 5

NOT USED: Schmeichel, Garrido, Vassell, Jo , and Fernandes

hart 5 (never anticipates mistakes)
richards 5 (very poor at rb)
kompany 6 (passing poor tackling excellent)
onuoha 7 (gave 100% won most headers and tackles)
bridge 5 (poor defending and passing)
swp 4 (terrible no effort)
de jong 6 (solid)
zabaletta 7 (excellent comitment)
robinho 5 (poor didnt look interested cant shoot)
ireland 5 (poor passing and shooting)
bellamy 7 (gave 100% as allways came closest)

caciedo 5 (gave nothing when coming on)
elano 7 (best passer on the pitch should be starting against lesser teams)

hughes 4 (tactically very poor to many long balls did not need 2 holding midfielders today and when they went down to ten men should have gone with 3 at the back)

Hart 7 did well with long throws
Richards 3 very lazy and just awful
Kompany 6 passing was slopy
Onouha 7 rock at back
Bridge 5 poor final delivery poor for goal
De Jong 7 switched play quickly
Ireland 4 passing was abismal
Zabaleta 6 passing was very average
SWP 4 worst game since his return
Robinho 5 knocked of ball easily and wasteful
Bellamy 6 tried hard but had no service

Subs:

Elano 6 passing was accurate but not quick enough
Caicedo 5 didn't affect the game at all

You obviously need some new glasses, pal. Bridge was our best attacking player. Robinho was below par but made some telling passes and could easily have scored two on a better day. 6 and 6 respectively.

I'd rather he was just average at going forward and getting back, then great going forward and wank at defending....thought he was bad but nowhere near as bad as that lazy twat at RB...why hughes took zab off and left him on i'll never know...

Hart - 7
- Distribution was much improved, looked strong and solid when tested. Unfortunately placed for the goal.

Richards - 4
- Looked very lethargic, very poor with the ball going forward and very hesitant in releasing his passes. Also failed to prevent cross coming over for the goal.

Bridge - 6
- Looked good going forward, taking on players and putting in some promising crosses. Also in general defended well. However very poor mistake for the goal.

Kompany - 6
- Defended well as usual. Passing was however not up to the standard we have come to expect.

Onouha - 7
- Didn't have a great deal to do but from what I recall didn't put a foot wrong.

Zabaleta - 6
- Looked very comfortable in the DM role and looked to set off a number of attacks. Passing wasn't as accurate as it could have been.

De Jong - 6
- Stuck to his job and did it fairly well. Didn't really stand out.

Wright Phillips - 4
- Looked very poor, didn't see a great amount of the ball. Could be carrying an injury? Shouldn't have kick out in the Delap incident.

Robinho - 6
- Had a poor game by his standard, losing the ball far too often and had quite wayward shooting. However kept looking for the ball and attempting to make an opening.

Ireland - 5
- Didn't look his usual self. Didn't get a great deal of room in midfield. Passing wasn't up to his normally high standard.

Bellamy - 6
- Worked hard and looked for the ball. Struggled to get into any goal scoring areas against a team playing so deep.

Subs:

Elano - 7
- Looked up for it, seem to find space and time with the ball where others hadn't. Didn't have enough to change the game but showed some enthusiasm.

Caceido - 6
- Again didn't have enough to change the game but looked enthusiastic. Also looked better to equipt to deal with the opposition playing so deep looking to find gaps in between the defenders.
