Stop sending the crap with the Season Tickets

I like the book and the laptop case is ideal - what it be interested to know is how long before the technology allows for the season ticket to be digital I.e on the iWallet or similar?

I thought you were thinking along these lines but my first thought was sharing a screenshot of the QR code. Think it’s possibly the future though.

I did suggest a QR code but looked more into using the technology that the turnstiles use, NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, same as that used by the payment terminals so, the technology exists and is well proven. Apple initially restricted access to NFC for security but have opened it up to allow NFC tags to be read NDEF NFC Data Exchange Format types 1 to 5, I've no idea if the turnstiles are in this range. In theory City could introduce an app which could be used to access the ground. Lots of other advantages as well, fans forgetting their cards, people tend to have their phones with them at all times. Again as I suggested earlier a system could be implemented for all PL clubs so away tickets could be added to the app and then used to access the away grounds. NFC is available on most Android phones also

I just think they should give you the option of refusing it if you dont want it. The past two years ive just taken the card out and the rest of its just collected dust, havent opened this years yet.

Last 3 seasons I just get my season card out shut it of and put it in a cupboard not opened any of the scarves up.

It's not "green" to send out all this plastic-covered sh!t to people that don't want or need it. I'm sure most of the stuff this year will end up in landfill, or even if it's sent for recycling it didn't need to be made in the first place.

We don't even need new cards if we've not moved! The "old" ones will still be read by the gates OK, the club chooses to replace them.

Cut the waste - it's an easy way to ramp up the club's green credentials.

What City should have done is sent out the seasoncards in a simple envelope and given all season cardholders a free code for the new Man City for TV app. We pay enough for our seasoncards should we really have to pay another £23.88 a year for some videos (I know we don’t have to buy it, but I don’t think seasoncards holders should have to buy it!)

I’m 37, not a kid/teenager, I do not want or need any City branded tins or laptop cases, shoe laces, car/fridge stickers, keyrings etc. All coming in non-recyclable plastic.

One of the first mooted plans when we went plastic was that all premiership turnstiles were going to be electronic and away and Wembley tickets would be added to your seasoncard/cityzens card. It never got going but would also solve some of the away ticket moaning as to where they were going.

Great Idea mate. I'm up for a free subscription to City TV as a SC holder. This tat is getting too repetitive. I like the new badge but it's too big(I'm not a fuckin' train spotting geek) Needed to be the size of a 5p piece, then I would have worn it. The scarf is ok but I'll only wear it when it's cold.

With the OP. If you've renewed you should just be able to use the same card year after year. I've had the same seat since 2003.
