Storm Bert

It’s neither meteorologically nor astronomically the season of winter yet, so by definition, if it feels like winter when currently in autumn, it seems like the definition of unseasonable weather.

Just been out chrimbo shopping round leigh
Just a bit of driving rain that’s it although the Mrs was moaning bout her hair.
Anyone who was around in 78 will know what bad weather is.

Sod that. I was going to pop out for a few bits today but it was just torrential rain and has only now eased off slightly. Although it feels warmer than of late it's still cold and the wind will make it colder. No way am I waiting for buses in that, so a raid on the freezer for tea it is.

Snow and sub zero temperatures are absolutely nothing new in November in the UK. Neither are strong winds and rain.

You know this but will still argue lol

It still doesn’t make it winter, which is what you were putting forward.

It’s winter weather in autumn.

I do love that the naming of storms triggers the real snowflakes.

You can’t even call them big waves any more, they’re woke tsunamis.

I’d be well up for naming all forms of weather for the headlosses it would cause.
