Stuart Pearce son dies in tractor tragedy

I know its not affected this accident.
But here in the uk you can drive a tractor pulling a trailer at 16years old with no training or lessons on a provisanol license. Crazy law.
Only 21 years old tragic loss RIP

Wow! How the fuck is he functioning, let alone going back to work. His head must be going at a million miles n hour at the moment. The poor lad.
I read his book years ago. His dad’s philosophy was work and work until your mortgage is paid off. He is a very old school man and I suppose this is his way of grieving. Working.

He had my respect as a man wearing the England shirt. Even more so now. I don’t believe in any god so I’ll simply say I have my upmost respect to him as a person.

Back on comms last night on talksport. Brave man. We all deal with grieving in our own ways.
It’s 6 days after…..
How long is the norm?
As mentioned we all deal with grief differently.
Fair play to Stuart and best wishes to him and family over the coming days / weeks / months.
My brother passed anway unexpectedly in 1980, aged 21, I was 17.
I was in work the next day and just had the day of the funeral off…..
My parents never got over it. The first Xmas and first birthday afterwards were dreadful……

I did make the point he was a brave hard honest man ,in the thread after his heart attack on a plane.
Other Blues saw fit to concentrate on his managerial career with us ..and berate him

When you look back over the whole career of the great man ,you realize he is made of stone
Gave everything in every game.
I've got the greatest respect for Pearce, not least because as a left back one season he scored 17 goals. For about a decade he was the best ,hardest left back in this country and he served his country well. An absolute Top Man,an original punk. From Wealdstone to The World Cup.
Says it all.

Sorry to hear that, mate.
I think to lose a child, however the circumstances maybe, must be the single most hardest thing to have to go through as a parent. I have no idea how I’d cope and I hope I never have to deal with that. Only mind I don’t think I’d ever get out of bed again, but I suppose the reality would be somewhat different.

You have to establish a new normal within which the loss of your child features in every moment.

"Smile for what you had rather than weep for what you have lost" becomes a metaphor for living the best life that you can.
