Stupidest thing you've ever done?

99% of the answers on this thread will come from males. I have done some really stupid stuff like:
Having an affair
Getting caught having said affair
Not staying with the woman I had the affair with
Buying a clearly fucked Pug 205GTi for £5k, managing to get just £1k back a year later, because like I say it was clearly fucked
Discovering beer
Discovering Whisky
Discovering wine
Starting a fight, needlessly, putting my family through loads of shit as I went through the justice system
Saying no to my ex the other week, when the offer of a 3sum with her and her mate was put my way

That's probably just about 10% of what i've got.

Men are really stupid.
 
I once spent ten minutes looking for my mobile phone whilst I was talking on it.

The funny thing was that I kept saying to the person at the other end that I 'couldn't find my fucking phone' and they never said a word. I imagine they thought I must have been talking about the landline. After the call finished I said to myself - right where is it? - and then it dawned on me.

I am a buffoon sometimes, it has to be said.

jump off a train comming back from away game
in my teens, only had a special train ticket
but got on a normaly train so wanted to avoid ticket
inspectors at victory, will add train was going slow through
moston near dean brook at the time

It was raining very heavily one night and i was driveng back from somewhere when I went through a patch of quite deep water and cut the engine out. Couldn't restart it but there was another lad in the same position and we agreed if one of us got their car going they would give the other a lift home.

He got his going so took me home (only a couple of miles or so away). Stupidly, I took our kid's car and a set of jump leads and drove back to jump start my car. I did that then realised with a sinking feeling that I had two cars but only one driver and it was a dual carriageway with nowhere to park. So I drove one car for a bit, parked it (it was about 2 in the morning so road wasn't busy) then walked back for the other, driving that a bit further then parking that up and walking back for the other. Eventually I got my car somewhere I could park it safely then went home in our kid's. I was pissed wet through and it was about 4 in the morning by this time.
