Never been to Stuttgart, so where's the pre-match drinks meet-up?
The ground is about fifteen minutes on the tram from the centre. However, unlike the Allianz, there's a huge Sports Bar next to the stadium, called Palm Beach. There's tables outside, and the Stuttgart fans were friendly when I visited a couple of years ago.

Was it open after the match? Cops etc

I get into Stuttgart at 12.10 on the day of the game. If the weather is as good as it is forecast to be, I'm intending to head to Biergarten im Schlossgarten down the side of the hauptbahnhof. Could be good if there's a big group of us. Then a couple of hours before kick off I'm intending to head to the bar at the stadium - its a good opportunity to have a chat with Stuttgart fans.

I'm expecting it to be open as I don't think it's owned by the football team, so it would be open even if there wasn't a game on. I went last season to a Saturday afternoon game, and after the game they were showing the evening game on big screens (inside and out). There is nothing I can really compare it to in England.
