Liverpool would never sell him, he's half of their team and just recently signed new long contract so I really don't find a point in starting "never gonna happen" threads.

Neither are in the top five players in the league.
I agree completely! I don't think we could get him, but Liverpool have shown they will sell big players historically (Alonso, Torres, etc).Jumanji said:That's not the point, however. He provides a different type of threat than Tevez or Aguero. He is a penetrating player, no pun intended. He is direct and is great at beating players; in fact, one of the best.SambaStyle said:Not as good as Tevez or Aguero so no point
Sure Tevez and Kun are good dribblers, but they really thrive on service. Suarez creates chances on his own. Can you imagine what he'd be like around better players?
With a player like Suarez, this tippy tappy pass it get nowhere, so send wide for a cross to short strikers shit will stop. Perhaps that's a bit harsh since we're obviously a good team but I always felt we were missing a player like this. I've been saying it on BM for a long time now, along with many others.
He's a good player, but I wouldn't want to bare all the attention he brings. The media would love derby day more than they already do, if possible.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool fans would like to trade him for any City striker.
The guy has it all (skills, work rate, desire & pace ) and IF he was playing with a top 4 team he will get the credit and the praise he really deserve.

well thats just not true.
he's a talented footballer, good with the ball at his feet, decent vision.
woefully inconsistent finisher though

Ben Arfa, Dembele, and Sessegnon are all better too.

And goofy
Suarez is widely dispised for his deliberate cheating (handball in World Cup and persistent diving), racism and previous biting of an opponent, and general bad attitude.didactic said:Plain Speaking said:I can only think this is a wind up.
I have just watched him play in the Europa and he was terrible.
A loathsome player.
Hahaha this cracked me up.

The press and public would have a field day if he ever came to our club. The treatment of Balo has shown how the press like to vilify us with the slightest excuse.
I would not be surprised if there was pressure from Liverpool's owners to get rid of Suarez, as soon as possible, apart from the fact they have no other strikers at present.
He has brought them very negative publicity. I would imagine they would bite our hands off to get one of our strikers or a player swap.
On his day, yes he is a talented footballer but he can also be a woeful and inconsistent finisher, as he was in the Europa game I referred to last week.
I cannot conceive our owners would bring such a character to our club.

...To this day Luis maintains Evra lied about the claims and twisted the whole story but he was forced to calm it after the handshake pollava because of sponsors...
