I think it was dowden ( although the liars are fully interchangeable) who insinuated that the fire brigades union was so politically involved with labour that it could influence and compromise their actions and opinions regarding the safety of the barge in terms of declaring it unsafe.
If a deadly fire were to occur, it’s not a squillion to one long shot as to who could be blamed as contributory.
