Suella Braverman - sacked as Home Secretary (p394)

The long term plan tow the barge to Van-Diemens-land unload and come back for some more people fleeing poverty etc. anything to stop the boats and create racism the goal is win the next election despicable Tories
All of this instead of processing their claims
I think that was another missing question in interviews with Sarah Dines, especially when she started the "Labour's got no plan" propaganda. "How about putting some of the 'stop the boats' energy and staffing into dealing with the backlog of asylum claims, or is the backlog deliberate policy in order to create a dog-whistle problem?"

So 15 migrants move to the barge, and 20 refuse to go.
Apparently the civil servant in charge is well versed in Toryspeak:

"Accommodation is offered to refugees on a no-choice basis"

Loved the fact that they said all benefits would be rescinded, basically kicking them out on the street.

What a way with dealing with asylum seekers, by losing track of them. This makes the increase in fines for landlords and employers make sense.

I've just watched a lecture about Sir Marc Brunel and his son Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Britain's most famous engineer - the son of an immigrant who didn't stay in the first safe country he came to..

This country was built on immigration just look at the infrastructure of the railways, bridges the workforce has always consisted of slave labour plus brains to design all the bridges.

Shows how much this government have moved further to the right.

The location for the barge was strategically chosen for electoral effect.

Looking at the details it's like an open prison on a barge. Lots of people on board will go board will go onto the island, and into Weymouth looking for amusement.

When the causeway is closed the locals on Portland may well chose their own way of dealing with them, whilst Cruella looks the other way and blames the migrants for kicking off.

Well, apparently, they've been living the life of luxury in hotel rooms, according to plenty of bacon-necked twats interviewed on the radio yesterday, so, if they have to rough it in a tin box for a year or so, tough-titty.
Imagine, owners of luxury hotel rooms letting asylum seekers in; no, I can't either.

Indeed.

I expect all that money the "hoteliers" earned housing then will get pumped back into the UK economy via legitimate tax recording by the said owner.

It’s only a matter of time before braverman’s dream comes true and violence breaks out. The blame will be firmly apportioned.
Now she’s going after lawyers she deems to be assisting claimants.
Expect the fire-bombs through windows very soon.
And it won’t really matter to the purveyors of hate whether they are helping refugees or not, the seeds of hate and fear about ‘lefty’ lawyers are sown.
They know exactly which buttons to push.
