Glad to hear that the government have lost the Rwanda case in the Supreme Court.

Supreme court concludes Rwanda policy unlawful because of risks to asylum seekers being sent there
Reed says, given this evidence, the court of appeal concluded that there were good grounds for thinking asylum seekers going to Rwanda were at risk.

He says the supreme court is unanimously of the view that the court of appeal was right.

Unanimous verdict - the Rwanda policy is unlawful.

Honestly made it sound like a fairly obvious decision to make on the basis of the evidence. I was going to ask how a government can get so entrenched in such a pointless and ultimately futile policy platform like this… but then I realised they’ve just been using it as a PR exercise. No doubt they will continue to do so.

The part where he spoke about the evidence provided by UN Convention of Refugees was particularly damning.
