Summer Net Spend

I'm not bothered too much about net spend, but it's always interesting to know who exactly has come in to the club and who has left and on what terms.

Maybe rename the thread "City Summer Transfer Tracker" or something if the net spend angle annoys people?
 
Net spend balance has 0 relevance in FFP anyway.
Having a low net spend balance just means your owner doesn't want the club to invest money. Or that the club can't afford it.
City having a lower net spend balance is logical because you invested earlier in young players who have been successful gambles (Gabriel Jesus was very impressive in that Copa America). Thus, you don't really need a lot of(or big) signings to be competitive. A bit like when Real Madrid spent a lot around 2009 and didn't have to spend in the past 5 years.

Think it's just an appreciation of the market trading, wheeler dealing aspect of transfers. Getting one over on your rivals by buying as cheap as you can and selling for as much as you can get.

The plot thickens. Originally seems to have been a sale with Ambrose getting a 4 year deal with Metz and us about £2m, but now seems to have been downgraded to a loan. Is he in the last year of his contract? We obviously just wanted rid.

Maybe Metz pulled out of the original deal or something came up in his medical? Maybe there is an obligation to buy? Any Metz fans out there to enlighten us?

I'm guessing the only other outgoings will be Mangala and Adarabioyo.

I suppose Danilo and Otamendi could still leave if we are able to replace them with Cancelo and a new CB.
 
Delph should still count as 10m . All transfers are counted with addons and this should be no different. Typical though of the Liverpool media to report their buy as 8.5m when they report countiho at 144m which is inclusive of 42m in addons...
