Summerbee Bar lack of speakers

In the ground on the concourses, there are screens galore but no speakers whatsover. They show what’s going on at City Sq but you can’t hear it.

But let’s be honest, you’re not missing out on much! When I’ve happened to be over at City Sq I’ve walked past in disbelief that a pie eating contest can be classed as entertainment and some of the inane questions put to the guests, some of which I have no idea who they are, are pointless. It’d be better just fucking all that off and putting old goals on and some songs.

There are four screens on the concourse wall above the toilets/bar. Two had still screens of the City and Fulham badges with the league table on, one had the City Sq nonsense going on with no sound and the other was turned off. Yet everyone was crammed standing in the blue box your not supposed to stand in, all getting in people’s way who were making their way to the seats, as the Spurs-Liverpool game was on but not on the numerous screens on the concourse, no, only on the screens just as you walk into the stand on Level 1.

Bizarre!

I was in the bar today and to be honest I wasn’t paying much attention as I was chatting to Rascal, Ducado, Philmeup and Ducado. But personally I don’t want my conversation to be drowned out by something else. However we were wondering why the bar area has to be separated from the rest of the square and why they have to screen people going in. It may be a licensing requirement but it’d be nice to get a pint then wander over to the stage if you wanted to do that or stay chatting if that was was you preferred.

But funnily enough I did say to someone that if I’m elected to the City Matters committee then I’d like to walk around pre-match to understand everything that was going on.
How are the Ducado twins?

Like why do the bars have such an appalling lack of choice on drinks? Strongbow fruits and Amstel was all that was on offer in the stadium yesterday.

City sq isn't much better

A party atmosphere inside the ground would be amazing pre-match. Beer areas, noise etc. It won’t happen.
