Watching game of the day on sky as I missed the game. Cherki is a maverick, his weakness? He's French so will be a bit of a pain from time to time but we all love a mavericks.
I suppose KDB had that in him, Elano Bernarbia kinky. That assist pure entertainment, a joy.
Then Pep comes out, oh no need for that, cross it simple, Messi didn't need to do that.
Christ sake your brilliant but do you need to suck the joy out of players, fans don't just want by the numbers. Maybe big him up ffs.

Yeah I was at the Notts County Cup match and also the "How the hell did we lose that?" defeat at Hull on the opening day of 88-89You'll always get that though. I remember a cup match at Notts County where we played them off the park with something like 30+ chances. They won 1-0 with their only effort.
We've also had a couple v Southampton in more recent times where they've got a late winner on the break after hammering them all match.
I believe we're better than a lot give us credit for, because most other teams don't have to play against a 10-man wall week in week out, yet year after year we've done it and mostly got the win. It's all about getting enough. I also think we'll get better as the players get used to each other more, but some of the newer (Khus, Ait Nouri, Marmoush) players need game time too as we'll need them as the season progresses.
I also think Liverpool will come again too, I'm assuming they won today (watched it up to 2-0), and Isak and/or Salah are going to click at some point.
A lot of the doubt at the moment, especially from the naysayers, I think is because they don't see a team that will get 90-100 points and they're probably right, but there's no other team currently capable of reaching that target either. As I mentioned earlier, Liverpool's final points tally last season wouldn't have been enough to finish above us in our last 6 previous title wins.
Cherki also seems to be one of those who hasn't quite realised yet how good he is. He seemed genuinely surprised and excited that he'd won the MOTM award. Are you sure you didn’t watch a bad edit?
In the interview I watched, Pep likened Cherki to Messi — not just in talent but in what he said was the more important attribute of doing the simple things perfectly. “Exceptional skills; huge talent; gave us continuity (he may have meant ‘control’); self confident; something special in the final third” was how he complimented Cherki in that response. He added that he’d never even seen Messi cross the ball the way Cherki did today. I’m certain Cherki would consider that high praise.
There was no mention of the Dias goal, nor did I think his answer to be rambling.
He scored.Genuinely shocked it wasn't Lamela
Yes, tough one to call this season. I've backed us from day one and still do but a lot will need to go our way I reckon, particularly with injuries to our own and other teams' players, but we're due a break on that front surely?Yeah I was at the Notts County Cup match and also the "How the hell did we lose that?" defeat at Hull on the opening day of 88-89
By now you'll probably know Liverpool's result, and in our own little world of 115.charges, empty seats and Rodri's fitness, we sometimes exaggerate the impact of one defeat (and that was certainly me after Tottenham) whilst forgetting that other clubs have got their own issues.
Without peak Rodri,.I still think we'll finish just sort, but a lot can change
Must admit I didn't know Liverpool's result. I'd watched the first two matches then turned off the Liverpool one at 2-0, didn't expect Leeds to pull off another comeback after their attempt last week but more because I had work to do. Poor dears really are struggling aren't they!Yeah I was at the Notts County Cup match and also the "How the hell did we lose that?" defeat at Hull on the opening day of 88-89

Was it a throw the keys in the middle type of evening?Watched the game in Alicante with a lovely couple from Sunderland.
Proper supporters, hated the rags and the Geordies, I mentioned Aguerrooooo day and he said he did the poznan when the final score came through. Top guy and loved city above all the ref shirt cartel clubs.
Wonderful day….
What has Pep said, why didn’t he like a player he picked, for the skills that he has, setting up a goal like that?Best performance of the season.
Ryan Cherki was amazing and the Rabona cross was sensational.
Pep didn't like it aparantly. :-D
A goal would not have been scored if Cherki hadn't done it. A cross would have been headed behind, and a cutback would have been intercepted.
The Rabona allowed the defenders to be taken out as the cross went slightly blind them.
He said Messi wouldn't have done it!.What has Pep said, why didn’t he like a player he picked, for the skills that he has, setting up a goal like that?
I think it's more about trying to keep them level headed and not start showboating. I remember we were told as kids that if you start showboating you'll find yourself targeted by some thug who can't do that and they'll be out to get you "to make sure you can't do it again either", ala Roy Keane when he crocked the other Haaland. He said Messi wouldn't have done it!.
The press seems to think it's criticism.
Not sure if it's criticism or praise to be honest.
I'm convinced they are fans of other big clubs. They cannot handle not being top any more & the only way they can get back on top is to destroy us by trying to get us to run Pep.outta town..so they try to sow discontent, dis-unity and fear...but they won't win because we as blues went through 44 years of character building pain that will see us stand tall and strong for at least another 44. Up the flipping. Blues yee haaaaaa!!!!
