Seeing the tenacity Gvad played with at fullback further makes me want him there and Nico O in midfield especially with Doku on that flank. Not sure if Ake is up for a stint at CB especially since it looks like we shop windowed him... IDK.

Gvad has an offensive dynamism about him we'll never see if he's playing center back.

We got rid of Sterling for missing harder chances than what Savinho spurned. Good to see he was hooked after the 2nd missed effort. Hopefully we can sell him on to someone else.
Never City class.

Its crazy that we had so many chances to score yet the current leader on the poll is Donnarumma with subs Rodri and Gvardiol in the top 3.

Nunes was one of the worst players on the pitch ..... he had a poor game tonight.

And so did O'Reilly.
Foden was also anonymous last night as was Haaland, although he made several runs behind their defence because I saw him do them, all he needed was someone with the ability to lift their head up and spot him.
Thought Donna saved a couple of certain goals. Ake did well considering he’s not played many minutes, he doesn’t let the team down and just gets on with it. Gvardiol was superb when he came on and very unlucky not to score. Rodri, not many words can explain how fantastic it is to see him back on the pitch. After all that, we didn’t get beat, not many teams go to Sunderland and come away with anything and Sunderland were determined to not get beat. So, City, pick yourselves up, dust yourself down and start all over again. COYB

Not the man of the match, but Nathan Ake looked good. I think it would be a mistake to let him go in January. It only needs Dias or Gvardiol to get a suspension or injury.

Good post 'normskih' ... totally agree.

Not entirely surprising though is it after last night.
Hindsight being a wonderful thing, maybe I should have voted for Donnarumma - but I made my choice and will stick with it.
Donnarummas saves aside, Gvardiol did more in his "cameo" than any of those who started
I voted Gvardiol myself
