I remember being very excited about Asia -Wetton,Howe,Palmer and Downes but the music didn’t really grip me.
The one that got away was XYZ featuring Jimmy Page, Chris Squire and Alan White. Demo’s were recorded but Robert Plant who was supposed to join as vocalist turned the role down eventually.

Saw Generation X in about 1978/9 in a small club in Yate. Just north of Bristol. Billy Idol kept stopping the gig. He wasn't happy with all the scrapping that was going on. One of our lot, Big Tommy kept refusing to take off his City scarf. The locals all supported Bristol City and wernt very happy..
