Don't know why I'm posting this because it won't happen, heads just a bit fucked from the news. But (in my opinion), it'd be great for the league, players & all parties.

Basically, it's a Prem XI vs La Liga XI vs Bundesliga XI vs Serie A XI knockout or league format. That's 3 games at most, but the prizes could be huge. Then based on co-efficient, we could have a B league with the French, Portuguese, Dutch etc in it. Winner goes up, 4th place from A League goes down.

Every player from your team who is picked means you get £10mil or whatever per player, on a sliding scale for where you come in the tournament. If City had 5 players in the team and the PL team won, that's £50mil to City. If we had 3 and we came 2nd, that's £24mil. Still very good money for 2 or 3 games.

a) Doesn't affect Champions League, Europa, World Cup, Euros etc
b) Is only a few games so it shouldn't harm players
c) Puts more eyes on non-PL leagues
d) Is a dream to see certain players play together i.e Messi & Ronaldo in the same team
e) Doesn't negatively effect the other teams in the league
f) Encourages owner investment into the teams without limiting competition or having 'founders rights'
g) Other broadcasters could bid for the rights to it so there's extra money and extra exposure

It's not perfect by any stretch, but in my eyes, far better than a Super League that shits all over the notion of competition.

I have heard that foden has told city to get stuffed & he will be joining Stockport county next season.

Looks like I have a new team :-)

Alternative to the money-grab so-called, "Superleague."

Here's a thought - don't change a fucking thing from the way it now stands.
Actually bring it back to how it was decades ago before the money-grabbing twats ruined everything.

Champions League for champions. Have a competition where you play against a team from Greece or Ukraine that might actually be able to win the thing. Share the money evenly, and then share a huge chunk of it with teams that aren't in the competition, so that it doesn't ruin leagues. Have the home and away teams share gate receipts. Have all four leagues negotiate TV deals together. It'll never happen, but this super league is just the logical end point of this gradual bending over to the greed of the big clubs over the past 40 years.
