seems somewhat ironic that with city exploiting the loyalty points situation by basically offering points for pounds, that the community shield hasn't sold out, virtually rendering the promotion of these packages worthless, except for maybe future cup finals.

clever marketing though, creating a mythical scramble that in reallity doesnt exist.

As I posted in another thread...tickets are selling fast and lots of blocks are selling out in no time.

Still, I agree...there hasn't been a scramble for these tickets.

how do you know mate, information about sales on the official site is non existent, i was lucky enough to get 3 tickets for blues who struggle to attend often due to work, so bit of a bonus.

Go on the block selector on the official site.

http://tickets.mcfc.co.uk/chooseseats.aspx?sid=10044

2 cat 1 blocks not sold out

9 in cat 2.

15 in cat 3

1 in cat 2.

Might just be seats dotted around in each of these blocks as I've heard a few people say on here they can't get seats next to their mates.

I'm not goin' to the CS game, and this isn't based on thinking "we'll have plenty of finals to attend"
it's purely because I just don't value the CS, it's a glorified friendly match, granted that's against the rags but I'm thinking along the lines of spending my disposable income on going to a Champs League away game :)

The only Charity in this years CS is The FA, as it lines their pockets when using Wembley.

O....M......G!!!!!

YOU IZ, LIKE, NOT A PROPA FAN YO!

Fair does mate, I'll be there though but it's not exactly something what you have to do to be a hardcore Blue as some think on here...still embarrassing if we don't sell out which I think we will, just.

Had a look on the selector thing yesterday and did again today, there does seem to have been a surge over the last day or so. Lot less blocks available now.

understand your points, but none of them enter my head if i am honest, except euro away, all i think is, it's city at wembley, the club are delivering world class players, if we want to be taken seriously we should show our support in huge numbers at every opportunity. the 2 wembley trips have been brilliant, who wouldnt want the chance to take the piss out of utd at wembley again.

lol, maybe I'll have a better job this time next year and be able to afford to get to every game... right now I can afford my SC and a few aways - you willing to pay for my wembley ticket fella? ;)

If £25 is gonna make a difference to your annual finances, can't see you getting to many an away Champs league fixture - unless we draw an English team - in which case you'll need all the loyalty points you can get - which nullifies the original point of this thread?

Its not just £25 is it?

I have a £25 ticket, but my travel, my booze, and the like, we're talking more like 150-200 not £25.

I want us to go out and fucking batter them, set a marker down that we mean business, the winning mentality and positive thought process breeds success. You can bet when Fergurson had his first Charity Shield game he took it serious and set it as a foundation to build on as its follows on from the previous seasons success.

Also wouldn't it look fucking great having two pieces of silverware on this season teams photo.

?????????????
My unnavoidable costs - share of the petrol and parking was £13 for the SF and final, a coffee in the stadium and a Burgerking on the way home. Other than the price of the tickets it was probably cheaper than a "normal Saturday".

It all depends what you want/can afford to spend - but my point is the CS is a cheap "away day" you're prob saving at least £15 on the price of 80% of even league away fixtures.

Ffs it's a derby at wembley it will sell out friendly or not.

Chill the fuck out people.

Due to family stuff and where we live I havent had the chance to see City live in a while so I for one am overjoyed it wasnt selling that fast as it means I get to go to a Manchester derby and at Wembley too.

So much the club does should be applauded - it is we fans that need to take a good look in the mirror and question just how good that 'great and loyal support' that we like to talk about really is

Go back last season to cup games - our attendance at Eastlands was nothing short of a disgrace

The club has every right to be disappointed in us - not the other way around
