Superbia Ticket

In my opinion the Superbia thing is a joke. My dad has been offered one of these and basically you are paying £2500 for 2000 loyalty points. It says that you will be guaranteed a ticket for every single game but isn't that what the points are for so you can get a ticket for every game with 7000+ points? My dad shouldnt need to pay £2500 for that privilege. Loyalty used to be travelling to Brighton on a wet tuesday night to see City be knocked out of the league cup, not subscribing to matchday programmes.

Is it not just paying up front for all the games....just as a season ticket does for home games? If you assume an ST is £600, plus 18 away games at an average of £45 (?) that is £810, so that comes to £1410. Added to that there is the champions league games, and other potential cup games. So it works out about right..?? Surely it isn't as simple as £2,500 for 2000 loyalty points.

The superbia is a strange one. Those with enough points to qualify wont feel the main benefits as theyll already qualify for whatever tickets they want anyway.

It costs so much that i doubt many people in what will already by a small contingent will take it up and so it becomes irrelevant even more so.

Getting anoter 2000 points sounds a lot lump sum but am assuming you wouldnt get further points through the season for other games so realistically if we went as far as say the QFs in each competition then youd probably only get in the region of an extra 7 - 800 points than someone who gets a platinum card with the cup scheme, and who doesnt have to pay up front for cup games, and will still likely qualify for final tickets should we get to any.

Other than not having to be arsed getting tickets its pointless, and of course the chance to fly with the team, but how certain is this? Is it you will definately be able to fly on the team plane or there would be a chance every now and then?

They could have done a lot more with this. Missed opportunity.

Be good to be able to fly with them though, if we lose you can single out whoevers not flavour of the week for the usual character assasination pointlessly expunged on here but in person.

It says this on the FAQ on the os:

Existing members who fail to renew on or before 26th June will be required to pay the increased price. So please make sure you renew before the end of June. DON’T MISS OUT!

I wanna move seats (relocate) and the dates for that doesn't start until 29th. Does this mean I would pay the inflated price to relocate? Did anyone else relocate last year maybe who could clarify

Ta

You renew at the time then you ask to relocate if you relocate to a more expensive seat you pay the difference if a cheaper seat they pay you i think.... but the key thing is you have to renew first then relocate. if you wait you might lose your seat etc.

can they still be shared out at OSC branches to keep the points topped up?

I think what I'll do is go for 2 x Gold value or Gold at the most, to secure every home game. Try and squeeze a few away games in to boost the points.
And should more Wembley games come along, circumnavigate the club completely and channel my efforts into cultivating corporate contacts because that seemed to be a far more painless way of getting tickets for the final for so many who didn't have season cards.

Won't get fooled again.

I'm probably going to be doing Gold plus domestic cup schemes. Don't know how much CL games are going to be so I don't really want to commit to something which might take £45 out of my bank account at an inopportune time. At least we know what we'll be paying wrt the domestic cups in the scheme.

The thing is we dont know who the Superbia tickets are being offered to. It might not necessarily be to those above a certain amount of loyalty points.

I have a feeling some of these could be offered to certain individuals to whom £2.5k isn't that much money and who dont actually go to all the games but wouldn't mind paying that amount of money for a guarantee of a ticket for any game (they can easily flog the ticket if they dont want to go), plus the other perks associated with this type of membership.

If it was 10 years ago I reckon I would have been offered one of these but wouldn't have been able to afford the one-off payment for that amount. I suspect there will be a few in this situation and its a shame that these fans, having no option but to take the Platinum option, will now be categorised "lower" than a Superbia member and will be further down the queue for important tickets simply because they have less money. Not a great reward for their loyalty.

I've missed one game in last 3 years as has my son - we are both between 6740 and 6820 points and no invite for us so looks like it starts at a minimum of 7000 points and poss higher
