To rub salt into the wound, after being told for a week or so that the ticket my mate bought via Twitter was cancelled (resale issues), the club has today relented - at 5pm (accepting nothing dodgy about the transaction). Told him they would issue a paper ticket at ticket office. But my mate lives in Kent and cannot get to the stadium by 8pm. He goes to about 12 or so home games a season and some away games with the Kent supporters club. The club knows he lives in Kent. If they’d told him at 12 today they’re reinstating the ticket, he’d have driven straight here and stayed at mine. Gutted for him.My mate told me he found someone selling a ticket on Twitter.
