Supporters Club tickets

They may not be taking on new members.
Branch I joined this year weren't taking on new members but I was able to join as I was a member a few years back.
Couldn't get a Burnley ticket off them either before anyone asks.
Might join the new ex military one that’s popped up, as long as it’s not all hairy arsed pongos.

If they came out of the OSC allocation then what's the problem?

The one sure way to resolve this is to go back 15 years or so, when we were shit and often often took half our allocation for away games.

Not everyone is lucky enough to be able to afford the time and money to have a season ticket and go to every away game. There's probably no more than 1000 people in that category and I doubt anyone has an issue with them getting tickets.

Then it's a case of demand exceeding supply these days and personally I'm quite relaxed about a fan who may not have the opportunity to go to even home games regularly going to the occasional away game. As long as the system isn't being abused then we should just chill out and accept it.

I'm certainly more relaxed about away ticket allocations than I am about getting to 40 points and breathing a sigh of relief when we used to do that with 4 or 5 games to spare.

The problem is,loyal blues who had the loyalty points missed out to people who had been to maybe a handful of games between them in their lives and got the golden ticket

It wasn’t that difficult to get tickets in the neutral stands. I know plenty of Blues who did that.

I don’t like the way the handful of tickets for the Bulgarians was handled but I understand the OSC took about 1% of the away allocation when they were entitled to 20%.

That might have been because it’s very difficult for a Branch Secretary to hand tickets over to people they never meet. I’ve sorted tickets for my Branch for several years and I expect a member to attend a Club meeting or travel on the Club coach to a home game, before they are eligible for an away ticket, so I know who they are.
They were almost always posted out.

Yes but you have to have trust in the people you are allocating tickets too. I think you need to have met people before guy can allocate them tickets and preferably they’ve made a positive contribution to the Branch.

I don’t really care who uses our coach to games but I need to feel that the branch tickets are going to responsible Blues

How long before blue moon and others initiate a debate on the old thorny issue of supporters clubs getting tickets that go to people who would never qualify for them ?

its five years since I stopped chairing Canal Street blues / serving on city matters it was a racket then so I'm guessing its got worse .

If we can sort out slavery, universal suffrage, a minimum wage, free education, a health service that cures cancer and gay marriage surely it's not beyond us to come with a transparent system thats fairer and more equitable to allocate tickets.

Currently only one person knows what tickets go to supporters clubs and refuse to show his workings or discuss the issue . Even old mad bad Vlad Putin doesn't have that power and there is zero accountability or understanding on the decision making process

In the past I was assured by Danny Wilson that ManCity could predict at what points level games would sell out and that's what the sales criteria was based on. Clearly that's not been the case for a long time .Burnley sold out at 13:10 pm at 23500 points .

Looking to MCFSC to change or give up it's privilege is like knitting fog impossible,so what about the 1894/ blue moon posters making this season's mission ? after all we are all in it together some more than others

If the none hospitality fans had a fair system another 5-600 away tickets would be diverted from SClubs to general sale.

That opens up the possibility of challenging the club about the growth in hospitality allocations stick with the status quo and things will never improve .
Great post blue. It’s a racket but it’s coming to an end…

if we didn't have so many JCL's it wouldn't be a problem.

However if you look at that from another angle, or read other threads on here, you might realise that as we get to be JCLs we are less likely to be able to get to as many away matches as we used to! For example I used to go to every game home, away, in England and in Europe but due to mobility problems and ill health I can no longer do so and I’m not the only one. So we aren’t causing as many problems as you seem to think. :-)
How come my post here ^ is saying @lazerblue wrote it????
