Supporters clubs

As far as I can see, this is the way it works. the SC has to register its members' supporter numbers with the club. When they apply for tickets (which is well in advance of them going on public sale) they say how many they want. The club assess the requests against the likely criteria and decide on allocations.

So if they think a game will go to 3,500 points, they wouldn't allow an SC to have any more tickets than people with this number of points. But if an SC applies for 30 and only gets 20, the club has no way of knowing who is getting those tickets. When the club give the tickets to the SC, they can then allocate them as they like and anyone who has the required number of points can also apply themselves in the normal way when they go on sale.

ok Mick, on your rules, nobody gets a ticket unless they have the points that it goes down to. Getting a ticket gets you points. So nobody under the points threshold will ever be able to go, as the fans with tickets go further up the list. We already have the "oldest" season card fans in the league. Many who have a ticket are lucky that the loyalty scheme didnt start as soon as pay on the gate was abandoned, otherwise they would have no points either. Glad you got one and hope we all wake up next sunday morning with a smile on our faces. ;)

Its not my rules mate, It is the rules/criteria laid down by City

Why don't we do what Brighton are doing against Palace. All tickets have your name on, and you must provide ID with it. No more points whoring, no more using family/mates cards to get other mates tickets. Would work a treat.

We had that for Juventus away. Albeit not implemented by City and it was never enforced at the ground anway

Brighton are definitely enforcing it. It'd be a pain in the arse but if you want a system that can't be abused, this looks to be the most fool-proof way.

we have had a open admission on this forum tonight that people have received tickets for the cup final regardless of loyalty points due to the fact that they were " active" members of their supporters club , now people are angry at the club for the cup scheme for which the criteria was made obvious from day 1, yet no body is bothered about the more obvious flouting of the rule that is the supporters clubs applying for tickets and giving them to whoever they want

Absolute crap! Suggest you get your facts right before making such wild accusations. ANY member of a supporters club still needs to fit the criteria of loyalty points and affiliation.
I know of two people who got tickets through there supporters club without meeting any criteria whatsoever.

It's probably always gone on ....
