If she’s a normal mother, no sentence she will receive will ever be enough for her. She’ll blame herself for the rest of her life.

If she isn’t, then she won’t care and deserves locking up for as long as possible.

I guess we need to find out whether she’s nipped to the shop to get some milk and was out for 10 mins or whether she’s round her bloke’s house sniffing ket, before totally condemning her.

Remember that case as well, just reading about a dad killing his two babies on the news and of course there was the philpots who killed several of his kids in a setting his house on fire with the kids in to get sympathy and money , evil , pains me any of these get out of prison eventually

I grew up with a single parent family and there were occasional times when we were briefly on our own from time to time.

We were older though.

I was same mate too an extent when i was about 8 my dad left for work at about 9-30pm, my mum got home from evening shift at 10-15pm, needs must, but like you i was a bit older, them four poor boys were way too young to have been left alone
