It’s inexcusable. But the only solution is improving early intervention and investigation systems.

There will always be crap selfish parents without common sense or maternal/paternal instincts.

There are about SIX bad stories in there to unpack, but I’m going to leave well alone, lest my educated white privileged self gets called out for not having experienced the life this young woman has had to endure.

I guess we need to find out whether she’s nipped to the shop to get some milk and was out for 10 mins or whether she’s round her bloke’s house sniffing ket, before totally condemning her.
