Lucky to get a job considering the complete fcuk up he made of the Mexico job.

The League Two club's ambitious new Arab owners are determined to land a major name - preferably with international experience
Yeah, I can see international experience being absolutely critical down there!!!

Just imagine all of Sven's players trying play pretty passes on a ploughed field whilst Andy Morrison-type defenders charge around dishing out retribution for "taking the piss". Bring it on.

If he joins them, he's going to be director of football, not the manager...

I suppose his in-depth knowledge of lower-league English football will prove invaluable in that position too then.

It's an utterly ludicrous decision by their new owners, and one that is all too indicative of how a lot of business is conducted in this part of the world. We really did strike it lucky with our owners.

good look to sven i wish him all the best and some folk cant forget the 8-1 boro game and seem to forget how fantastic we was until frank made his job unworkable when frank got skint and then made sven the scapegoat.

good luck to sven whatever or wherever he goes/does

you blame this result on Shinawatra?

not at all i blame frank for the fact we was still in the top 4 after christmas and then frank makes public he was having a review of sven at the end of the season which rocked the boat and made after christmas shite with all the uncertainty.

i thank frank for finding our new owners but he fooked the club up by making it known that svens job was under threat just because he was dodging everyone in thailand and was skint.

if sven was still our manager now we would have been playing champions league football next season.

im not after an argument im just saying what is MY OPINION.

Sorry pal, not meaning to be rude but I think that's nonsense, the players gave up for Sven and he let them. If he was any manager worth his salt he would have used the situation to motivate the players. The fans had to watch that capitulation and it was as bad as Pearce in the second half of that season. His signings were also atrocious, which is why we have struggled to give any of them away (with the exception of Corluka). And let us not forget that Jo was also effectively his signing so this pattern would most likely have continued had he stayed for a second season.

jo was a hughes signing because although sven had it in place it was hughes who stopped it when he came in while he looked at jo and then hughes decided to sign jo.

also if jo had been given time at city maybe we wouldnt be signing adebayor now because jo would be doing now what hes doing for everton which is score SEVEN GOALS in about 10 appearences.

as i say its my opinion so its pointless people attacking me for it because opinions should be respected(i know you didnt mate but there will be people who like confrontation).

I think Jo was Thaksin's signing, i think Hughes might even have been on holiday when Thaksin signed Jo and Ben Haim!

NOT TRUE.

HUGHES CAME IN AND BLOCKED THE JO DEAL UNTIL HE HAD TIME TO LOOK AT HIM BETTER AND WE NEARLY MISSED OUT ON him because hughes was dragging his feet over it until he said YES i will sign him.

p.s. sorry for caps i cant be arsed to retype it lol
