With Milner as the only attacker on our bench the starting 11 will hopefully be up for it from the first whistle.
Slippery, heavy pitch could be a factor.
If we don't make 'big' mistakes all should be well.
Nasri to score the first goal for City in this stadium.
Come on City!

It's a strange selection by MP.

I get the fact that it appears that he always favours 2 up top however when we don't have a forward for the bench, and playing a posession side like Swansea, surely he could have utilized the extra midfielder.

He's a mad 'un is our Manuel.

MP going for a very attacking line up Dzêko and Negredo!
Maybe he's thinking that the best form of defence is attack? One will have to drop deeper, maybe Negredo will play the Aguero roll, with him being more mobile, willing to run the channels and stretch the play, good that Navas is there too, his pace will seriously stretch Swansea at the back, and he actually tracks back.
If it's not working, Milner for Dzêko and a 5 man midfield, but we should realistically win here today, it's about time!!!

SUBS NEWS: Pantilimon, Lescott, Garcia, Clichy, Boyata, Rodwell, Milner #swanseavcity #mcfc

There's a lot of 'same same' on there. I understand all about keeping the squad together but there's nobody to throw upfront in an emergency.

If Guidetti and Jojo are obviously not fit why not chuck someone like Lopes or maybe even Pozo onto the bench. They'd probably not get on unless it was a desperate change but if 0-0 with 10 mins to go why not?

I confess that I would have started Garcia (or Rodders) ahead of Dzeko against the team that has the best possession stats. However, Pellers likes two upfront so not much point complaining about it. No Silva, Aguero or Jovetic does rather restrict the options.

Happy New Year to one and all.

Great to see the 2 big men up front.

What's the weather like down there? Blowing a gale up here at the mo

My heart sank when I saw the team.

We need an early goal.

IIRC we played 4-4-2 against them at our place, and they had 62% possession in the first half. Just hope we don't get overrun, because we had Silva and Aguero that day to get us out of any trouble.

He's not mad; he is confident in his approach and players.

And he's consistent.

Silva was injured, the midfield is the same. Samir scored 2.
