How good were they yesterday?

Unknown 'keeper comes in and is arguably one of the bargains of the season.

Defence may be a bit shaky, but their midfield and forward line were outstanding yesterday and Dyer and Sinclair have been performing like that all season.
They are also looking to get young McEachran on loan, who has a lovely left peg.

No wonder Mancini wanted Rodgers as his right-hand man.

Leon Britton is as close to Luka Modric as there is in the league. May sound ridiculous but watch him close the next time he's on. He has such grace, awareness, technique and I'm not sure statswise but I reckon he has loads of assists to assists if you see what I mean (he'll blatantly have a shit game and I'll look like a mug now..) . And it's fantastic how he came up all the leagues with Swansea, obviously a top bloke.

I'm also really happy to see Caulker doing well there from a Spurs point of view. Only just turned 20 and he's putting in top class CB performances week in week out for one of the best defences in the league. Seems mature beyond his years and the technical side to his game has developed which can only be a good thing as one of the best ball playing CB's is on his last knee unfortunately.

I've been proved wrong with Graham as well, thought it was suicide to bring in a striker who had little to none premeirship experience but after a shaky start he has got use to it and looks dangerous now.

Well done to Swansea, took the bitter edge off dropping points to Wolves this weekend.

I've kept a close eye on them since last season when they were earning plaudits for their passing game.

Before the season started I thought they (and Norwich) were good enough to stay up. They passed us off the park in the opening 20-25 minutes of that first game and only lacked a cutting edge up front. They struggled for goals early on but now they've started to find the back of the net more often, I reckon mid-table or better beckons for them.

They'll need to be wary of "second season syndrome" of course but as long as they keep building on what they've got I can see them becoming an established Premier League team for years to come. Mowbray, to his credit, tried to play a passing game in this division at WBA but they showed way too much naivety and they ended up getting relegated but Swansea appear to be far better equipped to play that style as they retain possession so well.

Make no mistake, of our remaining away games Swansea will be one of the toughest.

I know mate, it's a good laugh though.

Impressive all season. The kids Dyer and Sinclair are shit hot, no doubt about it.

They'll get absolutely bummed in the summer for players and one of the slightly 'bigger' clubs will be in for Rogers.

Watched the first half and they were very good, quick passing, one touch, overall very good play. Probably just edged Arsenal from what I saw, they'll have no problem staying up with their home form.

No you're right mate. I've been very impressed with both him and Wes Hoolahan for Norwich. Players i'd never paid attention to ever before this season, from nowhere, at times this season have been as good as any midfielders across the league. Britton's passing quality is brilliant.

Leon Britton has the 2nd best passing success stats in all of Europe behind only Thiago.

He's 29 but any objective England manager would surely consider him for a call-up, I mean Parker got his second chance.

1. Thiago Alcántara-----Barcelona----93.9
2. Leon Britton--------Swansea City--93.8
3. Seydou Keita------Barcelona------93.3
4. Xavi-----Barcelona-----------------93.1
5. Sergio Busquets-- Barcelona------92.1

joint 5th best passing team in all of europe!!! wow dot the cap to swansea....the signs were there in our first game with them.

another cracking dutch keeper!!! they were fantastic....
With us 3rd :-)
Yeah i think it went:
Barca
Bayern
City
Real
Swansea
???
Arsenal

They play the best brand of football in the Premiership. And yesterday was simply a clinic. They have ball skills everywhere. AN this is why they are hard to play. Their defenders have the ballskills of top four midfielders. The addition of Sigurson and McEachran is just a touch of class. I wondered why no top team went for Siggurson over the summer. He was a difference maker as a super sub for Hoffenheim.

I love this Swansea coach. He recruits players with 3 qualities. Technical ability, and intelligence. Nothing else. Everyone from Vorm to Graham has it in loads. Then when you join, he works you into the pressure early system they run. They will get tired, but if they bamboozle you before they do, then watch out. I can't wait to see them with McEachran joining Britton in the middle, that is just scary intelligence right their. Gower, Britton, McEachran. Call the coroner, these guys are going to embarrass someone at some point.

I really am looking forward to the Sunderland v Swansea battle. This would pitch offensive excellence against Structural solidity. And talent will be a none factor. Chess match of the season if you ask me :)

Chelsea were there, with United a lowly 12th, not even top 6 in their own league, ahah!
Who'd o'thunk it though, City ever being the 3rd best passing team behind giants like Barca and Bayern?!

Swansea v Barcelona would be an interesting match ;)

you forgot joe allen out of that dax mate he is also quality

Before we all get carried away (I watched them yesterday and they were good but Arsenal were very poor) you have to remember the curse of the 2nd season (if they stay up) it seems to happen to many clubs, I think it has something to do with squad sizes, or being far to confident

Definitely, same will apply to Norwich too, (got a feeling that despite being able to spend, QPR will go down). It's nice to see though, teams coming up and giving it a crack just like our tangerine friends down the road.
