Swansea fans haven't sold out

Nobody should be criticising the Swansea fans for not selling out, a 400 mile round trip for a Monday night match, probably 2 days off work for a lot of them. Sky are wankers.
Agree. The one's that are there will make some noise tho! Them taffs like a sing song!

I used to watch Swansea and travel down from Manchester a few times to watch them at the Liberty.

it is a bastard of a trip, 5 hours on the train each way, no suprise they aint sold out for a Monday night game.

Wasn't there a thread on one of their forums where they were complaining the allocation was too small and they could easily sell 6000 tickets?

There's no way we would take 3000 away to Swansea on a Monday night when tickets are £40 a pop and its on the box. 1500 tops

-- Sat Aug 13, 2011 7:47 pm --

Yes, but that was before it was moved for tv

We've gave them 2800, they defo should be selling their first ever Premiership game out where ever it is, what day is it & what time it is.

Shocking support if they can't sell all their tickets.

Absolutely disagree mate...we wont sell out at spuds and have only taken the smaller allocation...therefore is our support shocking? ...no its not! If the swans game was a weekend game i am sure they would of sold there tiks weeks ago.
Its a disgrace that sky are allowed to choose this game for a monday night KO - its a dificult enough journey on a weekend let alone a night game. There should be a football fan ruling that states night matches have to be within a certain distance and are amenable by public transport. A few years ago we played Norwich away on a tuesday night (we didnt sell out) and played blackburn on a weekend in that same season. It would of obviously been easier for city fans to make the trip to ewood than carrow rd.

It's the biggest match for Swansea fans in decades. Their first Premiership appearance! You can just picture the anti-English burberry boys in their end on Monday. The Welsh are worse than the Jocks in that respect.

Especially when we haven't sold out. When we are selling out every week then we can comment.

I am sure the Swansea will make themselves heard.
Yes they will have a good following where ever they go, to be honest I think we would have struggled to sell out Swansea away on a Monday night. Fans will be picking games they want to go to such as CL away games etc this season.
It will give the fans who normally don't get a chance to go away a better chance this season.
