Backe said they noticed in December that Thaksin hadn't really spent any of his money, besides the promises. There was no money because it was frozen, and they were waiting for the trial and whatnot.
Oh well, nothing we didn't really know.
He did give an anecdote, and I'm paraphrasing:
"The season ended and we knew we were kicked, but there was nothing on paper yet. So we went to Asia, and Thaksin loves karaoke and dragged us along to a bar. He said his voice got better with Tequila, and after a while he goes up and says "This is a song for Sven" and starts Should I Stay or Should I go by The Clash. Me, Sven and the goalkeeping coach were sitting there with out mouths open, wondering if he actually knew what the lyrics meant, and of course he did".
