Synthwave.

Basically ..... it's what Tangerine Dream were doing in the early 70's and through the 80's .... ripped off by Moroder, Jarre etc ...

And Can, Kraftwerk etc etc. All part of Krautrock as it was called in the late 60's/ early 70's. Very experimental and a lot of it not very accessible. It wasn't until John Peel started to champion TD that they got a wider audience though. Obviously, when you do something as groundbreaking as they did you will have people taking their own spin on it. Like Jarre. Don't forget, Moroder lived in Berlin in the late 60's and was there at the start.

Krautrock inspired the likes of Vince Clarke, OMD and all the other late 70's/ early 80's electronic music. My favourite band of this period though was Yellow Magic Orchestra. Fantastically weird. Their self titled first album deserves a listen if only to see where computer games musicians got their ideas from!

To the OP you should think of selling your tune to rock star records who make GTA computer games, it could be a money maker as they have lots of cheese on their OST`s for each game

The music is cool but not my sort of thing, its sounded like "obsession" used for FashionTV since the 80`s.

Nice tune. Love the keyboard changes, reminds me of Laura Branigan's "Self Control"! Good bass in there as well mate.

Cheers mate, loved self control.

I will post another one when I get chance, working at the moment.

This is outbreak, if you liked 'strange things' then you may like this track.

Listen to Obsidion - Outbreak (Full Version, Mastered) by Obsidion #np on #SoundCloud

There's a chance it may be used in a Zombie movie, a B movie.

Synthwave is just a decription of any type of electronic music played though synths or emulating software.

80s synthwave is what we are about.

Not sure where it came from?
