Bourght a pair of shoes yesterday and the box said size 9 on them. Took them home without looking, foolishly took the tags of and they are actually a size 10 which is obviously too big. Do you reckon if I sweet talked them they would let me exchange them.

No sweet talk req'd, must be fit for purpose whic they are'nt as wrong size. Any shop will exchange anyway.

You shouldn't have to sweet talk em, same thing happened to me at JJB once - swapped em no worries. They'll probably have a size 10 box with size 9 shoes inside, which obv fucks their stock up.

A lot of people are apologetic when they try to return stuff. If you are confident and assertive (but not a knob), you'll get your way.

No I didnt try them on NQT. I just did a quick in, grab the size that usually fits, out job.
