Talented solo artists, male v female.

I couldn't care less to be honest.

Modern music is dreadful but there's plenty of history to drop back on.

Popular modern is definitely mostly dreadful but there's still plenty of good, modern music from all genres about. It just doesn't get the airplay that it should.

To be fair though, I can see why. The youth are surely the biggest market and a bass line and glossy video seems more important to most youth than substance of lyrical content.
 
I always thought Luke Goss could belt out a bangin tune(Drop the boy LEGENDARY).. and that Nathan Jones guy out of Brother beyond. Absolute giants of the crooning world. Ooo and don't forget Jimmy Nail.
 
Weird bloke but a great voice


Mind there has been a lot of weird but talented singers
Michael Jackson was undoubtedly one of the finest singers not a great person though.
