I couldn't care less to be honest.

Modern music is dreadful but there's plenty of history to drop back on.

Popular modern is definitely mostly dreadful but there's still plenty of good, modern music from all genres about. It just doesn't get the airplay that it should.

To be fair though, I can see why. The youth are surely the biggest market and a bass line and glossy video seems more important to most youth than substance of lyrical content.

I don't mind a bit of Ed. Quite liked James Morrison too.

Royal Blood are a bit meh.

Ed Sheeran and James Morrison are "modern" and therefore dreadful, apparently.
