So, the idea is to tax PL clubs and use the money ate grassroots to grow the sport. Sounds like a good idea in principle but what about the work already being done already in the community? City have probably one of the largest engagement programmes in football but we are not alone. Many, many clubs have community programmes similar to ours. Will we still be ‘taxed’ in the same way?

It should have been set up when the Premier League was formed.

I remember when the idea of the PL was mooted, those parties that apparently had most to gain from its inception - rags, both sets of dippers, Arsenal, Spurs and Sty - all claimed that ALL clubs would be better off if the new league came into being.

In fact, more clubs have faced financial problems and gone into administration in the last 25 years than ever before.

But the truth of the matter is that the cnuts who claimed that ALL clubs would benefit, in truth , as per usual couldn't give a flying fuck about anybody else other than themselves - Animal Farm comes to mind.

Twats !

Would it not be an idea to get them to cough up the 5% they agreed to pay first?

any tax on football clubs comes straight on of the fans pockets in ticket sales, just like the ticket office adding a booking fee ?? its there fucking job( clubs) to sell tickets to fans so why add more money for booking fees??? the fans end up worst off every fucking time not the clubs

Because the law doesn't allow credit card surcharges. So instead you get booking fees on all transactions.

Yep. I know.
