Congratulations, you’ve successfully passed this stage.

Please call us on 0800 0515 727 as soon as possible to progress your application.

Depending on your eligibility, the next stage of your application will involve a telephone interview.

Can anyone give me a heads up on what the phone interview is like?

Try wiki job, or just try google, formats and processes for lots of jobs are posted online now.

What's the job?

Usually tel interviews we generic. Why rbs, why banking, why this job then questions like: give an example of when you worked in a team etc

The job is first point of contact for customers calling with queries and requests think there may be a bit of selling but its not a full sales job. Ill give it a google mate!

any joy?

I had a look and this is the closest I could find:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.wikijob.co.uk/forum/retail-banking/rbs-customer-service-adviser-interview" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.wikijob.co.uk/forum/retail-b ... -interview</a>

I assume your interview would be similar. Have they sent you through any information regarding what to expect on the telephone interview?

I'm pretty sure after you've arranged the telephone interview, that they will send you some information to help you prepare

Cheers mate I had a read of that before erm no I spoke to some woman who took basic details off me then she said she had no advisers available at the moment. I thought it would be a system where I'm booked into a slot but she just said phone us back later.

ah right, well I am sure that they will give you some information prior to the interview. There is another thread on here about "interviews" when you get it booked, have a look at that thread. There is a post by someone (forgot the username) talking about the "STAR" approach to interviewing, which, in my experience, is probably what RBS will be looking for.

Congratulations on passing your initial assessment and securing an interview with the RBS group.

The next stage of the recruitment process is for you to attend a face to face interview with a Recruiting Manager. The details for your interview are as follows:

Nice one mate! they conducted a telephone interview already? Thats belting news. I applied for a job with RBS GBM a while back and the process took a lot longer then, so congrats!

Best of luck with the interview!

I work for NatWest, you'll breeze the telephone interview, just show some confidence and have a calculator to hand as there will be some maths questions.

Hi All,

Firstly congratulations Mark for getting through to the face to face interview stage, have you had the face to face interview? How did it go? And most importantly did you get the job?

Basically I am in the same situation as you as I have my face to face interview on the 9th April 2013 and am so nervous as to what to expect.

Can anyone please provide some help please who have had the same interview as the interview is for the 'Telephone Service Officers RBS' Role so not sure if the interviews a role specific or not.

I would like to know if anyone has any experience about what to expect as I understand that there is a competency interview which is fine but does anyone remember what they will ask in a bit more detail so that I can prepare more efficiently as this is the first up to date post regarding this role I could find on the Internet.

Lastly can someone advise as to what the role play is about? Is it 1 role play or 3 role plays as some people have stated in the past few years on other websites. Also how is the best way to answer such role play questions?

If anyone can help with the above information then that would be great.

Thanks in advance
Michael
