we just could not set the tempo of the game and blackburn did a job on us

like it or not the blackburn manager did his home work on us toady and the players did what he asked of them stop us and break up the play

we must start to play a fast tempo from the kick off pass the ball around quick from the back to front

we have the players to fizz the ball around and make the other team chace the ball for the 90 mins
the break for internationals games dont help the players when they have been on away games coming back on weds/friday for a game and we looked of the pace today but got back in the and got a point

its early doors and we will steam roll alot of teams this season when we get to pick the starting 11

we played a typical allardyce team, eleven men behind the ball at all times, try and nick one on the break,if toure and hart wouldn`t have done their laurel and hardy act we would have got all three points....four games in fella,it`ll click into place before you know it,keep the faith...

The play in the first half was slow and ponderous. The build-up was predictable and it gives teams like BBurn all the time they need to organise and re-organise. We need to inject a little pace into proceedings and move the ball more quickly once we're in their half.

Summed up to perfection

This and totally this

A problem with achieving this is the team is set out as if to counter-punch, and that's why we look dangerous and naturally quick flowing when breaking on opponents, but a bit laborious at other times.

We also lack tempo in our pressing game. I'd say keep the 5 in mdfield for now, but flatten it out a bit, moving milner inside, accept that only 2 of barry-de jong-yaya can start, silva on the left flank, johnson on the right. When the first choice fullbacks are available he can try his fluid midfield thing again (to be fair it worked well against the dippers).

what i would take out of today is the message "more silva and sooner" - he is clearly ready

no no no i am afraid ...its the italian fooking season ticket we have bought to watch premiership football ,is the reason there is no tempo ...slow progress to pinch a 1nil ,,,there is no tempo in serie A...and there is no tempo in us
