I've started to see many posts about how they have both now clicked as a partnership, and how we are on the up and up because of it. There's a few little flicks and runs which make you feel like they are starting to get on some sort of wavelength, however, I disagree that they have truly 'clicked' and now have a proper working partnership.

They're definitely getting there, and I can't decide where I stand on the issue of them passing to each other in those types of situations where one has a shot at goal, but the other is better positioned.

Are they that full of confidence that they want to take on every strike? Are they both trying to get as many goals as possible? Are they just not seeing each other yet?

We have played two games against Burnley and Birmingham where the defences have been ran over. Whether this is actually down to us or them is a debate in of itself, but if you are knocking that amount of goals past people then we're doing something correct.

There hasn't been many times where I've seen us have a proper working partnership in our team. Dunne/Distin had it back in the day, and that sort of telepathy that Robinho/Ireland had early on was just such a joy to watch.

I'm starting to believe that Tevez may actually be an alien, as nobody born on this Earth can have the type of anticipation that he does. He can spot a run better than a Jedi with 10 eyes. On the same part, Adebayor's finishing is literally the best that I've seen of any City player live, every time he gets a chance, I'm confident he'll score. We may actually have a partnership here that could be as good as the infamous Toshack/Keegan that Liverpool used to have, that others refer to.

However at the moment, they still seem a bit individualised and I'm in two minds whether or not this is a good or bad thing. Against the Burnley's of the world, this is great, against the CL teams, maybe not so much.

Am I expecting too much from them? It's early days in their partnership, but I can't see how two players with the abilities they have can be made a case of that they have clicked yet. In my opinion, there is so much more to come from them as soon as they put a team goal on the same level of importance as their own.

Tis early days with some good signs but I seem to recall early in the season where they didn't seem to work well together. It's all a matter of getting as much time as possible together and it should and will get better.

The best thing for me so far apart from goals in the last 3 games is that Tevez workrate is rubbing off on Ade.

I said as much last night. They are getting better, but they are not a "partnership" yet. It's inevitable that two players of such quality will score plenty of goals, but doing so doesn't automatically mean they've clicked. Ade was fuming with Tevez at times yesterday! Although, to be fair to Carlos, he wants that Golden Boot soooooooo bad, and that alone introduced a bit of greedy play to his game yesterday. And who can blame him? But there is certainly the odd sign here and there that suggests they will hit it off big time in tandem at some point in the near future.

how great is it watching Ade hounding every ball off the feet of opposing players? he does now look like someone who would panic the back 4.

Adebayor's workrate was exactly the same in the early part of the season, he was hounding defences then. This only switched a bit when we put him up top on his own and he had no service. He's also immense at the front post man at corners, NOTHING gets past him.

I'm not saying that his reputation for laziness is unfounded, more that whilst in a Blue shirt I have never really seen the traits he showed at Arsenal. Perhaps because we don't boo him as Arsenal fans did, it may actually be helping his game?

*is shocked*

Emmanuel Adebayor seeking glorious end to 'worst season of my life'

Emmanuel Adebayor is intent on steering Manchester City into the Champions League after "the worst season of my life".

The former Arsenal striker prepares to face Manchester United on Saturday at Eastlands in a rich vein of form. He scored his second brace in successive games in the 5-1 defeat of Birmingham yesterday to take his tally for the season to 13 goals. In the process City cemented fourth place in the Premier League table with five games remaining.

Adebayor is just glad to be out there helping the cause as he remains deeply affected after being caught up in the gun attack on the Togo team bus before the Africa Cup of Nations that claimed the lives of three people and led to the nation pulling out of the tournament.

Adebayor said: "I am pleased with my form as this has been the worst season of my life. I got suspended, I got injured, I got attacked. I am just very happy on the pitch now and enjoying myself playing football. I am taking in every minute I can. I have my happiness back on the pitch.

"We have big confidence with some important games coming up and we are ready for them. We are scoring a lot of goals and that is good for us. We know it is going to be very difficult but our destiny is in our own hands. It is important we do everything to stay in that fourth position until the end of the season. Everyone is fighting to win games and we all have the same mentality."

City have scored 14 goals in three games with the former United striker Carlos Tevez in arguably the form of his life. He too grabbed a brace yesterday to take his tally to 28 and with Craig Bellamy in double figures as well the team carry a significant attacking threat.

Adebayor cannot wait to face Sir Alex Ferguson's side, who are struggling to retain their title after a goalless draw against Blackburn.

"United are one of the biggest clubs in Europe, so it is going to be a nice game. These are the matches as a striker you want to play in, " he said. "You want to play against the best defenders and the best teams. You want to test yourself. It is an important game for the club to see what we can do. Being at home with our fans behind us we will do our best and hopefully win the game."

The manager, Roberto Mancini, will monitor Patrick Vieira's fitness after the midfielder pulled up in the warm-up before the Birmingham game with a knee complain. However, Pablo Zabaleta is available again for the weekend after serving a two-match suspension.

The Birmingham manager, Alex McLeish, is looking for a positive response from his players with a win against Hull at home on Saturday, following a run of six league games with victory. "The players will be determined not to let things slip and hopefully we can put things right in the next game," he said.

McLeish admitted his side had been exposed by slick opponents. "We didn't play that badly. It was just City's front four were different quality," he said. "We added to our own downfall with some sloppiness and there are things to work on. But we are still developing as a team."

Ade and Tevez are the new Goater and Dickov! But world class.

The similarities are scary, not in ability of course but in other ways. And not just because one is a big black gangly striker and one is a little ugly terrier. Especially Adebayor, who i feel has a story that is mapping out similar to the Goat's. Lazy striker scoring some goals but not feeling the love. Looks over to hard working striker and realises what he has to do. Lazy striker becomes legend.

Ok, Adebayor hasn't become a legend yet, obviously, but if the early signs continue and he keeps it up for 3 or 4 seasons then the new Goat may be born.

It was just greedy exhuberance at times yesterday which just highlighted the confidence our front four had.

Ade, Tevez, Johnson & Bellamy made selfish decisions at times when it would have been better to pass, but it showed me that they all wanted to share in the glory of a good win which was good, plus Tevez wants the golden boot.

I wouldn't say they've developed as a partnership yet, it's more like they've developed a good understanding that all world class players are capable of.

The partnership will come in its own good time, but in the meantime I hope they just continue to bang them in as they have been doing recently!!

This is.

Considering Ade has been banned for 7 games then missed a month in AC nations nightmare I think Tevez/Ade are developing nicely. They seem to now know when to make a run for the ball (not going for the same one) and which area is theirs.

Can't wait for next season already!!!!!!

For me they are not a partnership as of yet, but they are getting there,
I think the formation is the thing thats transformed our fortunes, ade and tevez are having more space than they had when they where up top alone, and with more space, players of that quality will always make an impact

But they are not a front two like Goater and Dickov because Tevez has been playing a deeper role carrying the ball from the halfway line

It's Adebayor up front with Bellamy on the left, Johnno on the right and Tevez playing in behind and just about everywhere

Tevez`s form this season has been unbelievable any striker should be able to play along side him.
i think the clubs owner has been proved correct in spending big money on getting top quality strikers in tevez and adebayor.Tevez obviously inspires the players around him with his energy skill and vision in the final third, where so many players are unable too.
Adebayor is a terrific Talent that requires a bit more of others in terms of service,so the signing of Adam Johnson who keeps possesion and delivers quality balls into key areas has really helped Ade.
It is a Great Partnership they both offer something different in terms of size and style but both have the same ability in sticking the ball in the net.
we are so lucky to have these two players./.
