Sorry, if already posted but I was reading on the sky sports iPhone app that he not in the squad for tonight's game. I have to say I'm shocked he a nob off the pitch but on it he a totally different player on I would of expected him to be on the bench atleast because Mancini has said he still wants to keep him. So anyway I was just wondering what you other blues think of it. Hopefully Dzeko can finally net a home premier league goal for us tonight :)

I'm glad Edin is finally being given a fair chance he looked really sharp in pre-season and his work ethic has gone up. He has all the qualities to be our 20 goal a season man

Could have told you that last week.

Bloody hell mate he has only been back a week and is not the fittest of players at the best of times

I suppose pal, but i been reading in the papers he been the fittest in training then again I shouldn't be reading what in the paper because 99% is crap so I don't know what to make of it

did you honestly expect him to be? i doubt he'll ever play another game for us, much less the first of the season after being away longest out of all our players.

I doubt if he'll be in the squad while the transfer window is still open.

Generally clubs give players about 10 days training after returning from the break before putting them into even a pre-season friendly let alone a competitive match. If the player's conditioning isn't right that's when they can pick up niggly injuries so I'm not surprised Tevez isn't considered for tonight.

Agreed, I'm backing him to get a brace against the Swans tonight. Want him to do really well

In one of the papers today (The Guardian), says Tevez went to watch Rochdale on Sat with Micah Richards. Steve Eyre is now the manager and former players Tutte and Grimes play there.

My thoughts too. He wont want to be injured in case a buyer turns up.

Have you not been paying attention to any words spoken by Mancini these past couple weeks?

He just arrived from holiday last Monday, it's going to take time for him to be fit. Putting him on the bench would be useless because he is not ready to play.

Both Aguero and Tevez are only half fit. Its worth taking a risk by having one of them on the bench, bring him on if we're 3 up or 1 down with 20 mins left. But no manager would have two half fit players on the bench if he could help it. And if only one of them is going to be on the bench it has to be Aguero. He's been in training longer, he's going to be here longer term.

Just imagine how unfit he is after being back from holiday for just a week. Put that into a game of players who've had 6 weeks training.. he'd be fit for about a five minute run out, and even then what if he picks up an injury because his joints aren't strong yet.

if a player isnt fit enough for 90 minutes, they're not fit enough for the bench either. besides no need for more then 3 world class strikers in a match against "swansea"

Mancini is hyper sensitive about fitness. We've had Aguero since July 28 and Mancini insists he isn't fit to start.

No way would he put Tevez in the squad with less than a week of training.

Can i please enter this post for the I dont know what the fuck im talking about award ?

First game of the season mate

The club is probably giving him some extra time to settle in and spend time with his family. I don't think theres another club that has treated a player so well. I hope he shows his gratitude by staying a bit longer.
