Sunday sees our two boys go head 2 head in a world cup qualifier,, who will come out on top..Argies need a win and are at home, thats my tip Argie victory

Brazil are a much better attacking team, but Argentina are better all round. As much as I hate to, I'm tipping Argentina to win the next World Cup, they've got some amazing players all hitting their prime at the same time (Mascherano, Tevez, Messi et al) and on their day are unbeatable!

You not been been watching them for the last year then mate? Maradona has them playing shit (Watch the Bolivia game) plus Brazil are now a miles better all round team. As for the 'amazing' players the Argies seem to have, apart from Messi and Aguero I wouldn't say they have any other world class players at their disposal. Whereas Brazil have Robbie, Kaka, Julio Cesar, Maicon, Dani Alves plus Lucio and Fabiano who you could also argue are world class. I'd be surprised if Argentina made it to the quarters next year tbh, if that.

'Kin ell went off on a rant there

Any team going to Bolivia will struggle. They played at around 3000-4100m above see level. Unless you train there for a few weeks, you will never perform your best.
By the way, you missed Tevez, and Mascherano! Maxi rodriguez is pretty good as well and i guess you can argue that Zanetti and Heinze are world class too
So...
Messi > Robinho (Don't kill me ...)
Tevez > Fabiano
and Aguero <= Kaka ( can't really compare these two as Kaka is a midfielder and Aguero is ST)
thats 2 to 1 for Argentina :) .

if you look at it this Argentina side is going through an incredibly similar run and form to the Brazil side in 2001 and early 2002. At that time Brazil dropped to 5th in the group, they were slated as a team of talented individuals who could not make a team, the manager was lambasted and they were written off.

The rest is history........

A History I can see repeating itself as I think Argentina have guts and fire that Brazil don't and I can see the Argies limping into the world cup and Brazil going in with Spain as big favourites. With pressure off and with the talent they have the Argies I can see coming in at decent odds and winning the thing!
