City legend. We will miss him with the way we play our football. We’ve had quite a few players leave over the past few years that looked like it was the end of an era for City, but I think this one does cement that. There’s no way we would have dominated without him in goal.

To all the social media plastic fans, a great big fuck off to you. The disrespect he got on social media sites were uncalled for.

Dear Ed,

I grew up with Banks and Yashin, Maier and Zoff. That was what goalkeepers did, that was what they were for.
You showed us something else entirely. Not just City supporters — nobody in England will be able to think of the keeper's role in exactly the same way, since you. You are, in that strict sense, historic. Some people also said that you were not a shot stopper. That is foolishness. You weren't too shabby at that — without you, we are not European champions.

It’s a different world now but I hope that one day we get the Treble gang back together in the same way we have done with 99 squad previously.

Sometimes it cannot be helped but it is sad that not all these legends are getting the send off they deserve.

Specifically on Eddie, when see and hear the trophies he won with us listed out it is absolutely incredible and he does not get the credit he deserves throughout the football world.

Going to miss him, probably the right time to go, it's a technical downgrade on the ball whoever we go to from him, best in the world at it.

That clip on 48 seconds at St Mary's, I was right behind the goal that day and was absolutely howling when he turned their striker (Charlie Austin?) literally like he wasn't there. Ice in his veins.
