"I Swear you'll never see anything like this ever
On Wednesday night me and a few friends were in the Bierkeller (Printworks) Garry was only in doing a press conference for the UFC. After the conference he came into the bar and had a few beers with us which he paid for as well very kind of him. He told us a few stories good 1s we chatted and watched the match he's really down to earth that's the 3rd time i've met him. Just before he left he gave us promoter tickets (6) for this Saturdays UFC at the Arena and i've just been checking the prices but wow I didn't realise how much they cost £200. Anyway I wish to thank him and I can't wait for it now :)

Thought i'd share my story he's a great person and still follows City very much.

I don't suppose anyone reading that will have their mind changed on the fella, he seems to be marmite to city fans.
My view, FWIW, is that on balance he was a positive influence & a force for good in the club. I've never met him, but from all I read he's a good bloke who wants the best for the club.

Cheers for posting & enjoy the UFC (I think!)

He was truly instrumental in the sale of the club to the sheik.
Without him and his pitch it may never have happened.
He was a positive force for our club and overall he served us well.
We should be grateful for his contribution to our club.

Whilst on the subjet do people realise it was garry that was responsible for the welcome to manchester poster ?

Despite his well publicised fuck ups, he clearly had City at heart and did a fuck load of good for our club.

thats the thing though mate, nice guy yeah but you cant 'do' fuck-ups when your in that sort of position, it shows he was out of his depth a fair bit.

Nice bloke though.

sound lad Garry Cook, got a few good stories especially when he came in the bar over in Salzburg the night before we played them the other year,i liked him and found him to be a decent normal fella who's made a few quid

should still be at the club with txiki and sorianno, top bloke and did so much for us.

I'm more in the Nimrod camp on this, and whilst he made it at Nike I was never impressed with any of the stuff I heard about his football operations (which might be me talking as a Brit in the US and adjusting things accordingly, along with my own opinions of him as a football CEO).

Incidentally, wasn't he on Talksport recently, was he promoting UFC (I guess now I think about it) or did he have anything to say about City, and what day was he on?

Talked to some of the UFC crew at the weigh ins today and apparently Garry Cook gave tickets to Conor McGregor and Michael Bisping to give out to those people who couldn't get in today.

Got two tickets worth alot. Can't wait, my second UFC event!!
