Thanks shady.

Hope to see you when I come back for the final Wealdstone. If I get a ticket that is. Best MCFC day out ever.

Well the feeling's mutual chaps. By far the best set of supporters we've had to our place since we moved to Ruislip.

Coincidentally we won 1-0 with a wonder goal just after most of your guys who stayed to watch a bit of the game decided it was time to move down to Wembley. Oddly, on hearing the cheers, I mean roar they rushed back in, but unfortuntely the jumbotron replay wasn't working :) so I had to describe it.

Apparently some coaches turned up that weren't anticipating and those we were didn't.

We'll definitely be a City venue for the final. A blue club always better than a red one eh. We had a few Stoke in today but not a lot. So after 6 consecutive losers we've now hosted 3 winners in a row.

Thanks for supporting a fellow football club. A great day all round.

Hopefully you're all on the case booking up local hotels before the Stokies get home. Happy to help if any local knowledge required.

I also want to say thanks on behalf of myself and the 6 others that travelled down with us.. the Balloons was a nice touch.. great hospitality

-- Sun Apr 17, 2011 6:41 pm --

I also want to say thanks on behalf of myself and the 6 others that travelled down with us.. the Balloons was a nice touch.. great hospitality

Balloons. Yeah. Knew I should have got more than 100 sky blue ones. Might get a consignment of a thousand. What with the FA Cup Final, Charity Shield* 'n' all.

*Community Shield, whatever they call it these days.

I was in the first mini bus that arrived around 11am and all 16 of us had a cracking day in there. Cheap beer, food and a welcome hospitality you'd expect in the North. Bought myself a Wealdstone pin badge and will look out for their results in future. There is a City connection through Stuart Pearce a former Wealdstone player. They had some local bands onstage when we got back and have to say lads I loved the song 'Scum' about your neighbours, plenty of us joined in singing it about our neighbours. One of the Directors Peter kindly gave me a copy of the cd and that track is gonna be played plenty loud in my van with the windows down over the summer.

Can't wait to do it all again in May. If your reading this Kevin the Wealdstone fan hope you slept well in your car last night and had a safe journey back to Norwich.

I got there about 1 o'clock on I think the last coach to arrive.

Great time was had by all (Mancini look-a-like, Adebayor etc)

Funnest bit was the lady who was just doing food while the bar was packed, some guy walked up and said 'I'll have a hot dog and 15 pints of larger'. To which she again said 'I'm on food only and not doing beer, do you still want the hot dog?' Just laughed and tried another of the bars.

I concur; great hospitality. Well done, Mark and Leo for arranging it. See you in May lads for our next day out.
