Pint-sized eating champion becomes first to defeat The Hibernator 8,000 calorie breakfast
PINT-SIZED Emma Dalton took on an unconquered 8,000-calorie brekkie challenge - and won.

The Hibernator, Britain's biggest breakfast and weighs the size of a baby, had never been completed.

Competitors must sign a legal disclaimer before digging in due to its dangerously high fat and calorie content.

But the 5ft 2in accounts manager wolfed the 7lb monster down with 24 seconds to spare at the Bear Grills Cafe in Congleton, Cheshire.

“It got harder and harder and I didn't want to swallow. But I just pushed through it”

She managed eight rashers of bacon, eight sausages, four hash browns, four fried eggs, a four egg cheese omelette, four waffles, four pieces of toast, four pieces of fried bread, four black pudding, two ladles of beans, two ladles of tomatoes, mushrooms, a portion of large chips and a two pint milkshake in less than an hour.

Describing the winning moment, pocket-rocket Emma said: "I threw my arms up in air and everybody was celebrating but I thought I was going to throw up!

"I had to be brought a sick bowl because I started to heave.

"The last 10 minutes was painful. I got to the point where I started chewing each chip about 50 times.

"Because they were at the bottom of the mound of food they were cold and tasted like they were frozen.

"The owner was great and put them in the microwave for me to warm up.

"It got harder and harder and I didn't want to swallow. But I just pushed through it.

"It was such a relief to finish."

The victory was the eating challenge champ's 16th in a row.

"It's all in the mind. I know I can finish these challenges it's just about getting on with it."

Now there's a phrase.

Made me feel sick reading what she had eaten. Have to ask why would you want to do it? These eating competitions, just don't get it
