pretty sure if train is rammed, which it will be, reservations are out of the window
Yes apparently similar issues when the bin dippers were in last years final they declassified the entire train and it was full and standing through out from what a mate told me you couldn't move more than a few inches.

We got caught in the snow the other year coming up from London to Manchester. We were booked on an afternoon train but all the morning trains got cancelled so everyone from the morning was trying to got on our train. They put the barriers down and they counted through people regardless of whether they were booked on that train. Mrs DT got through and then they said no more. An old bloke next to me had slowed me down as I did not want to knock him over with our bags. He did not get through either but his wife did. Mrs DT was up the duff at the time and showing so after a bit of a plead from her and the old blokes wife we both got through.

We got on the train and sat in first class as it was declassified and a minute later the train pulled out. The carriage was not full and there were empty seats. As we went on I went along the train and counted sixty empty seats and no one standing. No idea why they did not fill the train up when hundreds were waiting.

Not sure what they will do on the day to stop a free for all but good luck to all trying to get back.

There is a 21:40 train to Leeds from Kings Cross gets in at 00:15am and a coach to Manchester at around 2:15am,i caught this when i was on my way home for the QPR game last season,so i would check on times and if it is still running. It also gets very busy normally with students etcetera, but it is an option, although Virgin tickets aren't valid as it is a different operator.
there also a train to Manchester from leeds at about 3 am for those that wish to come home that way

Can the club (or supporters clubs) not arrange chartered trains? At least one train company has said they'd be willing to do them if fans paid something like £40 per head. Honestly I hate traveling by coach but it's looking like the safest option.

i got megabus insurance, could i sell my return ticket at euston as i get into london for extra beer money or do i need to carry all 3 tickets? (man- lon, lon-man and tube)

Is yours a day travelcard? Ours arrived in the post the other day and it just comprises one ticket for each person as well as an extra ticket detailing our reserved seats on the way down.

2 seat reservations plus a day travel card

Seat reservations are not train tickets! They are not valid and would not be accepted on a train as a ticket for your journey! If it says "Only Valid With Ticket 12345" on the orange strip at the top of the reservation then you would need Ticket "12345" to make the reservation valid! You may as well give them a ticket from 2009 as this would be as much use to them as a seat reservation without the appropriate ticket! If you sold the RTN portion of your ticket with the seat reservation attached then you'd be good to go, however I'm sure the resale of train tickets is frowned upon and considered fraudulent by the rail authorities!!

just get wembley station to Marylebone I walked from there and was back within forty mins including queing but you could also get tube from baker st to cut journey down

I've been on a train from St Pancras to Sheffield then got one to Mcr on a Saturday night in the past too.

This 9pm train everyone is flapping over will not be the only train heading north that night!
